me personally i wouldn't go for a 4 banger Tj in trade of the mj, unless it was a 03 or newer 2.4 4 banger i have an 04 tj and i love it and gets great mileage, but the 2.5 i hear doesn't have enough power to drive highway speeds with no top, but my 2.4 can everday. but tj's suck for carrying more than 1 person and a small backpack
-
put an engine in it and sell it. its nice
-
mine was a radio since it had none, then front and rear bumpers, followed by fog lights, then painted rims black 8)

avenger superchargers makes some nice kits, and they have the 2.5 and 2.4 engines on there list of kits

my personal experiance was the track bar being bad. actually the bracket welding to the axle cracked due to previous owner booger welding a relocation bracket to it. got a new adjustable end and burned on a new bracket and was golden. the second i belive is caster angle, it can get royally messed up when lifting and not getting a proper alignment (with the adjustments) or adjustable control arms. the third i belive is control arm bushings due to if the axle is allowed to move too much it could cause all kinds of weird problems, and they are kinda hard to check when just looking at them. and they usually never get replaced. poly bushings suck, rubber is the best

over 150 now, need to hit 200

i hammer on a cheap craftsman socket to get them off then a air chisel to get it out of the socket :brows: i hate stock lugs, yeah a torque wrench is better, but screw that time is money :chillin:

i like the blingy ones, the black ones you can't even see.''normally i like black rims" but they were too black :D
-
well just don't give up on it, isht happens, but definatly upgrade if possible.

honestly i don't really like pets at all either, but i have a cat and grew up with a dog. and have a fish that is at least 6 years old now :D i am just too busy to take care of something, i like to be able to do what i please and not think about feeding an animal

you should get it recovered because there is normally some still in there, then to recharge it it would need to be vaccumed down for at least 15 minutes to get rid of moisture in the system. then recharged to the proper amount

looks just like my kitten when we got her this pic was 1 or 2 months old, we got her at about 4 weeks old and had to bottle feed her

air 90* die grinder works good air 3'' cut off tool works great air body saw is great for trimming fenders - and a tip is to use regualr hacksaw blades just cut down to fit into the saw, cheaper and thicker blades. thats basically all the stuff i use regularly that works great every time.

honestly i was not impressed with the new srt4, the neon was so much faster, and the caliber has too many electronic gismos. and the challenger, it looks good and the chrome fuel door is a nice touch until you open it and realize its plastic and it makes the entire car feel cheap, and the srt has nasty ugly rims.

here is my dream, and some what attainable in a few years if the lottery is my friend  its a lotus elise SC.

5Spd Shift Knobs - Are they "fragile", or am I too
jared replied to SuperWade2's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
also if you have the means, twm makes nice but expensive weighted shift knobs that thread on. the shifter in my TJ is the same metric thread as a honda civic, and i am assuming it would be the same in the newer xj's your getting the newer knobs from. and if they are the same any 5 spd honda civic shift knob would fit. ;) -
Ever paint factory aluminum Wheels?
jared replied to mknherhappy's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i never had good luck with the duplicolor wheel coating. it dries even before it hits the wheel and is not smooth in my expiriances. my tj i just primed and shot with a satin black ( the cheapest i could find) and its lasted great over 1 year now. -
like eagle said a rear sway bar will give a car more oversteer, which means the tail will come out easier but that isn't always the best thing to do. but if you tow a lot a rear bar could do you some good.
-
well most lift kits don't include discos for rear sway bars just longer links. why? because they don't hinder off road flex as much as a front one does. my opinion is its a truck with pretty stiff leafs so it doesn't really need a swaybar in the rear, but a cherokee is shorter and has more weight over the rear end, and thats why it had a facotory one. so i wouldn't waste any money on one. jeep engineering it without one and they know more than we do ;)

the safety wire goes through one bolt and it pulled around the head to make it tighten (kind think out if as a wrench) then the 2nd bolt is aslo the same tightening effect, the bolts can't loosen up because pulling the wire from either bolt loosening will effectively keep it in the hole, it can possibly get a little loose, but it will not come out.
-
no military for me, i went to school for aircraft maintenace. ;) and i found safety wire very easy to do once you figured it out,
-
i have the reversible snap on ones - they are mint  but yeah lock wire is awesome, and it looks cool too.

well a further look at a actual zj, its not a zj grill. its a mj like grill but zj style lights that wrap around somewhat.
