  1. would you get better gas mileage in a tj by removing the front drivshaft? i am going to michigan this week and its 600 miles each way, i would like more than 22 mpg
  2. a turbo like that won't really take that long to spool since its a 6.1 liter V8 pushing all its exhuast into 1 pipe. but they make good power in the upper RPM range.

    my mj

i heard through the grape vine that is run run a drill battery to the powerwheel it will make it super fast. like modify a dewalt 18v to work instead of the 6 volt. :brows:
  4. that brute is ugly as sin  the top needs to be color matched. on a side note, the video about it says no accidents or bodywork done to it
  5. that top was the prototype, they never went into production. i like the bubble top better, i think it makes it more finsihed.

did anyone notice the rear shackels  its still SUA

    JK Dana 44???

you would have to redo all the brackets too, to fit a mj or whatever your putting it in. but then you could just get the rear d44 too with the locker and 4.10's. and have matching axles instead of the 8.8
  8. i don't think 120 mph is wrong. its pretty close, but i doubt you will ever see that much mph :D
  9. the gas filler door  they do make a door that goes over it as an option or aftermarket accessory.
  10. line x is definatly the best, but also very much expensive compare to other stuff.
  11. in theory it sounds good. will that be the actual payment??? 500 a month is a lot to pay out for a car, so i would try to save all the money i could and get the cheaper car.
  12. i got my gear wrench extra long ratching wrenching in metric size 8-19 at sears.com they aren't available in sears stores. they are great. i use them everyday at work. the extra length makes breaking bolts loose that much easier. i only paod 110 bucks for them. i just need them in SAE now. but if you want the best set, matco makes them. but it will run about 250 bucks for a set.
  13. info on the jt its not coming here anytime soon to my knowledge, but the J8 (the military version) has popped up in the 09 service portion of dealerconnect which is chrylsers tech website. i tried to get info on it but none was availbe.
  14. i prefer matco, but some of the stuff is just as good a quality as craftsman. most of my tools are craftsman because of the price. i do mange to break a socket or something at least once a week tho  but i have a sears nearby. if your looking for a set of swivel sockets i say go to sears you can get 1/4 ANd 3/8 drive sae and metric for 200 bucks, compared to over 200 for just a set of 1/4 metric from matco or snapon
  15. x2 but it is decent fun. some ok trails and lots of mud if your into that.

    09 trucks

wow that truck is ugly. but it will give me job security when they break :D
  17. beautifull norton. i love old classic bikes (but i know nothing about them  )
  18. my name is Jared 8)
  19. i love brutes. gonna have to check this out
  20. i like the look of the concept vehicle. its just that a concept vehicle. most of everything cool would be lost if it went into production. and the roof looks to hard to work. its not simple. but i will never own one so i could care less.
  21. try a dealer show them the registration and the vin. they could cut a key off that. but they might not because its so old. but its worth a shot. keys are usually under 10 bucks
  22. 18 is pretty good actually. my tj witht the 2.4 gets about that. the most i got was driving from michigan to new jersey drafting behind semis going about 80 mph. i got about 23 mpg the whole trip.
  23. pretty nice. i would not buy a overseas vehicle tho. you can find rhd xj's with a little looking around and waiting, they turn up often. and the new jk wranglers brand new are available rhd ;)
  24. what is the benefit of doing this??
