  1. but that is part of the problem. with the stock trackbar tie rod end it will wear significantly faster due to it always being at an extreme angle. but i do agree that if you drop the pitman arm, you need to drop the trackbar the same amount to avoid steering problems. but the treack bar and drag link not being parralle would not cause DW to my knowledge
  2. like the xj. i wish i coulda kept mine  but i want another one someday.
  3. i would just save some time and get a cheap fuel cell from summit or somelace and run 2 tankss like some older trucks. and have a switch on the dash to switch between tanks.
  4. the front coils looked like the rustys lift coils i put on my xj. i didn't really mess with them too much, but they came off a 4 door jk with a rear d44 and 4.10s. its a x model and it has a hitch. and its a soft top only model.
  5. jk 4 door stock coils rear - 5 full coils, then it has the small coil at the top which would make it six. the spring is 5/8'' thick and the totla length is 13 5/8'' long (this is laying on the ground) front - 8 coils, 1/2'' thick, and 17 1/2'' long.
  6. ok will do if i can still get a hold of them
  7. go to a junkyard, find a old 4x4 xj and steal the front d30 :brows: problem solved.
  8. yeah definatly the rear jk 4dr ones are pretty beefy compared to tj stuff. a guy at work just lifted his new jk 4 dr. i can get you a measurement if you want one? front and rears springs

    xj hotrod

haha i kinda think it looks interesting. but i would personally do a tj with a brute rear cab closeout. a custom frame and a custom cj grill. make it look like a old modifed roadster but with legroom. kinda like this but with jeepish proportions :brows: here is a pic, but imagine it slamed to the ground. mustand II ifs, no rollbar. some bomber seats. no rear bed just a keg fuel cell. fenderless in the front chopped down windsheild. sitting on a custom frame. no hood, or a narrowed custom one to the narrowed tj or cj grill with a 5.7 hemi in between the frame rails, or a classic chrysler 392 hemi. and then you still have the option to run doorless
  10. i pull my carpet so it isn't muddy, and i would add a couple drain plugs to the floor if i were you (well if you wheel any way)
  11. haha yeah i will get them. i forgot about them
  12. awesome pics ^^^ so i think this is gonna be my new favorite place to wheel :brows: i move to south jersey in 19 days so this is gonna be 2 hours away. i am gonna try to hit it at least 1 time evey other month
  13. http://www.rauschcreekoffroadpark.org/index.php anyone ever been there? it looks pretty sweet
  14. well i am not saying its better without. but i drove my cherokee with no sway bars at all. i bought it with none. i never had a single problem with doing so, and i did have to make some manuvers in a quick time and it wasn;t a big deal. i rolled a honda civic before that had front and rear swaybars, they really didn't do anything to stop me from rolling, but it was the EXCESSIVE SPEED i was going. so drive safe if you have a lifted truck or a stocker with or without sway bars. its really not that hard to roll a truck goning 30 mph

  21. they usually come really long so i never worried about length when i replaced mine, but you just cut off the extra. longer is better if you have a choice, just in case
