well here's a small update. i got some extra cash so i bought a front and rear bumper from 4wd hardware. they are the procomp rock crwler bumpers, supposedly 1/4'' steel. i was excited alot. but i got the front bumper today, no rear yet  but first off its not made by procomp as advertised, its genuine steel brand. and then its not even 1/4'' like advertised its only 3/16. so by now i am kinda ticked off that its some false advertisment. then i get my stock bumper off and go to put the new one on, it don't fit over the frame :flame: so now i am reall pissed that i got some junk @$$ bumper. but about 20 minutes with the grinder on the frame and its fits like a charm. :ya: so i am kinda dissapointed all in all, but i have a new bumper which is a decent platform to build something better in the future. i might add a stinger, and a winch mount to it, then make the shackle mounts better and stronger. but thats in the future. anyway here's the pics. looks badass without the bumper i think, almost was gonna leave it that way :ya: and here is the finished porduct

04 tj, 5 spd 4 cyl, 4.10 gears, d30 d35 both open i am gonna buy an aussie locker, ut which one should i lock first. a lot of people are saying the front is better, and weld the rear, but i don't know. i know d35's are weak, but its not like i have the power to break it on stock car tires  so my question is which would you lock, and why. and what are the pros and cons of welding the rear.

actually only a tiny burn on my arm from leaning up against the hot metal, and a few spark burns on my arms and hands. 8) man that thing is great -
i never had any problems with the stuff i bought from rustys. fast shipment and the springs i got were great. but don't buy the drop trackbar bracket. i had it its only 3/16th thick and due to it moveing the track bar down and having more leverage on the frame i think the bracket flexed enough while driving to be A cause of death wobble. and after a while it could crack your frame without reinforcement. but that is my personally theory.

i work at a saturn dealership on the used car lot. and today one of the new sales peoples brought over a 91 mj to be appraised as a trade in. it was 2wd red and no rust!!! it was an auto, short bed with only 80k. it was so darn nice. but the truck isn't worth too much at a dealer and the people didn't take the offer unfortuantly or i would be drivning it tonight. i wish i got pics, but i didn't have a camera. i just couldn't belive how nice it was for being a michigan truck

i like marine fish, but very expensive. we had a 33 gal. with a flame angel, yellow tang, sixline, a couple clowns. and a few other fish. had a few corals. some guy at a pet store told us to add this stuff to the tank to kill something, and instead it killed all the fish in 2 hours exept the 2 clowns. so know i have my 1 clown in a 6 gallon tank by him lonesome with a couple hermit crabs and snails. but i am eventually gonna get a larger tank again when i move, and then add more fish.

yeah pete didn't want it. he doesn't want to cut up his bed liner. i am selling it for 100. i would prefer a local buyer. southern michigan/ ohio. but shipping is an option at buyers cost. it looks loose in the pic because it wasn't tightened down to the bed, and not all the straps and buttons were hooked up. but it will fit. it did seem a tiny bit narrow but it still sat on the bed rails, but that could be because it wasn't tighened down. i am making a fs thread.

cheack the hey pete thread in the pub. i am 2 lazy to do it twice
-
its asoftopper. there was a thread a few weeks ago. this one is for sale, but pete has first dibs because shipping would be a pain.
-
we did have a few fitment problems, but that was because of the bedliner and we could not clamp down the frame to the bed. but other than that if it sat in the sun for a while it would have been easier to put on.
-
hey pete you gonna be home today? i got the soft topper from work i was wondering if we could try to do a test fit on one of your manches if you don't mind that way we know if it will fit or won't
