    i got a new toy

yeah more tips is good. we had a really nice one before but my dad sold it. this one is small. its a portable one, so its probably not gonna do really big stuff, but it will work great for us.

yeah i went to my dads shop tonight only to find out he just bought a plasma cutter. woot! its a brand new miller. i don't have the specs on it, but i hope to use it soon. now we just need a new welder

    yay DD!

don't dog on the honda too bad guys. i had a honda (actually 4 or 5) before my jeep. they are the best cars on the road today. my favorite i had was a red 90 civic hatchback. i did a engine swap to a newer vtec engine and had it lowered on 15'' rims. it was not fast, but it was really quick and fun to drive. the motor swap alone gave me 35hp over stock + some bolt ons which gave a bit more. and with the newer engine it actaully got way better gas mileage that the original engine did.
  5. thats pretty cool, and not too expensive considering most other beadlocks rims are no legal for street use and cost more than that unless you weld them up yourself. i know the hutchison rock monsters start at about 400 a rim and they are dot legal for road use.
  6. oh well you must have some good wheeling up there. if you weren't so far away you should come to the xj/mj meet at the mounds in flint, but its probably a waste for you
  7. yeah stock cherokees rock well sort of

    Wrangler finally

sweet. i have been looking at them lately myself. a 05 unlimited in lime green and a 04 in yellow. and also the new jk. but i still have love for the xj/mj's
  9. pretty gangster build up so far. i want more pics
  10. we don't all drive manches
  11. the only big problems you could have installing it yourself if you have limited axcess to tools and such is rusty broken bolts. then could set you back a bit, but other than that its easy. i would use a coil spring compressor for the front springs, its easy, you can rent them from autozone for free (you just pay a deposit first which you get back when you return it)
  12. i would like to hit the badlands this year, but i have a lot going on this summer figure out a date soon and maybe
  13. i had them built for me. they look great. they are modeled after jcr's ones. the only problem is i was going to weld them on, but they don't fit exact enough, so i need to redo the 1/4'' frame mounting plates, hopefully thats it. update. i just installed a new tranny cooler tonight. i had to replace the old nasty leaking one. that was a big pain for such a simple job. anywho more parts are on the way- a doug thorley ceramic header, high flow cat, and a dynomax muffler. all for 120 bucks
  14. well if the jeep was going forward in 4wd the rear driveshaft would be spinning ccw, and the front would be spinning? i can't figure it out myself i need someone else to look while i drive.
  15. so the rear driveshaft is couter clockwise, then what about the front is it reversed or the same?
  16. no doubt. but make some scans first. x10000000
  17. here are some of the new pics showing off the bumper cut. i might trim it up more at an angle, not sure yet. unfinished slider finished slider i didn't get them mounted unfortunatly, lack of help to keep them inplace, and a few minor fitment issues and they will be fine. but the quality is great. thanks nos here is the bumper cut pic, no more nasty broken fog lights another and a front end shot
  18. which way do the driveshafts spin on a jeep? clockwise or counter clockwise?
  19. front - 6.5'' rustys spring with rough country adjustable arms. it rides smooth, but being a short arm you really feel the bumps, haven't had it off road since install so i don't know about flex yet
  20. oh and i almost forgot the highlight of my night. my dad found my brothers rustys offroad shocks he didn't use when he lifted his jeep. i got all 4 brand new shocks for free WOOT! all i need is the new bushings and to put them on soon. and they are the right lentgh for a 6'' lift because that is what he bought.
  21. i got a little more done on the heep tonight. i did some front bumper trimming lost the old stock foglights that were broken. looks a lot better. i am gonna sand the bumper down and paint it with cheap spray on bedliner i bought and the same for the grill guard. pics tomorrow i promise. since i trmmed the bumper i didn't want to pull the liners out because mud in the door hinges is not my thing, so i trimmed it up so it doesn't hang down, but its still there doing its job. i got one slider and painted with bedliner ready to mount hopefully tomorrow afternoon. i need to grind and paint the other one still and do some fender trimming also. i might mess around with the alignment because the steering wheel is all out of whack, but it still drives straight. so its still a long list but its getting shorter. pics tomorrow i promise.
  22. i have a 8.25 (my 99) and my bro does in his 98
  23. i just put a dp arm on my xj, and i did the rustys hd tracbar bracket with the bushing instead of the tre. it works fine and was only about 130 for both. but over the knuckle would be the best setup.
