I would leave it alone unless you intend to make a serious off-road truck out of it. There is no reason to cut it back there unless you just like the looks of it...which I personally don't.

That's interesting...he doesn't usually sell them that cheap on eBay, but your right...it comes out to be about $5 less on eBay. There is no way for me to tell you for sure it they will solve your problem, but with 125K on it, they sure can't hurt. You might try unplugging the injectors one by one while it is idling and see if there are any that don't really make a difference when unplugged

I forgot to mention that my truck has the 4.7L V8... ;)

It may be time for some new injectors. We have a deal set up with this guy for a discount on them... http://precisionautoinjectors.com/produ ... roductId=7 That link will take you to the correct injectors for you. They are remanufactured Ford Motorsport injectors that work great in our trucks. We get 10% off if you use ' JEEP ' as the discount code at checkout

Depends on what you are driving...My 2002 Dodge Ram gets between 9 - 11 MPG pulling a 5000lb trailer depending on the terrain we are on. If you get something with a diesel engine (which I highly recommend) you will get much better. My friends with diesels get 18 - 22 MPG pulling the same weight as me...and...they get 18 - 22 MPG just driving around town empty too ;) .

does anyone ever drive their manche like this?

My wife has wanted to build a truck like that for years now, but we just have never been able to do it. You definitely don't want to drive a truck in that manner if it's not prepared for it unless you don't intend on being able to bring it home. Very cool vid... :D -
This is not an MJ, but it's a good video to show the value of a cage. It's been around a long time and a lot of you may have already seen it, but it's amazing...especially considering it's a bolt in cage made by ToysByTroy. Click the play button...

 Glad to hear things are going well for you. Hope you get back on home soil safely soon.

I hope you got a good deal on tickets. I tried to get tickets to the game against the Jaguars when they came down to Jacksonville, but couldn't find any for less that about $450 for the pair  :shake: . Can't imagine what they cost for a Monday Night game...

Glad to hear it. Did you check the cables over very thoroughly as well.

That's a good question. I don't know how to do that. :hmm: You would have to allow HTML to be used in the posts. Most forums either don't support it or don't allow it because of security risks and bandwidth use.

That is MOAB, Utah. It's called Lions Back. You go up...then in a little bit of space, you turn around and come back down.

Leaking oil out of the left side of my Engine???

I replied in your new thread with pictures about cleaning this system. -
CCV hole is plugged, How to fix?
BLHTAZ replied to Luvtohunt's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Your valve cover should have two lines connected to it...one at the front and one at the rear. Be sure that both of these lines are clear and flowing free...especially the small one going to the rear. The front one is likely open or the oil wouldn't be able to get through to the air cleaner housing. Inside the cover where the hoses attach, it can get plugged up. Take the valve cover off, remove the little towers inside, clean everything real well and put it back together with a good gasket like the one I used here from Felpro. -
 That's nuts... Poor truck :(

I don't have great skills, but how about this... ;)

Interesting idea... The console part would take a little thought as it would obviously move with the seats so you would have to be careful about placement of anything in front of it.
-
They will work, you will just have to be sure that you have the correct parts to match it up. The pilot bearing/bushing is typically the one little thing that trips most people up.
-
The seat belt is attached to the floor. There us a threaded hole on either side of the tranny hump that they bolt in to. Seats like that require considerable custom fabrication of brackets to put them in. You should be able to build something that will attach to the factory brackets, but it's going to have them sitting a bit high so if you are tall, it may be an issue. They will need their own individual slider assemblies as the factory bench stuff will be useless with these.

Yeah...I'd say it's battery time. I have never had a regular battery last more than 3 years. My Yellow Top made it almost 7 years before needing to be replaced. What baffles me is that once it's started, it should run off of the alternator with no problem... :hmm: . Why is it not doing that? Could there be an alternator & battery issue? I have run vehicles many times on a dead battery, and even a couple times with no battery in them at all without a problem as long as it was kept running...RPM did not matter.

What is the problem with remote linking for pics?? It's easy, it's free and it's the way things are done in today's world. Why do you think that Photobucket & all the other "hosting" sites exist? I find it funny that you don't want to take 5 minutes and load a picture to a host and link it here, but you will ask someone else to do it for you... :shake:  :rotf: I think you need a few cold ones to chill you out a bit and not be so critical of a great site like this that Pete has worked VERY hard for  :smart:

If it runs good, that is a great price on it. My son just paid $3500 for a 1996 XJ, but it is Showroom clean and had only 60,000 original miles on it.

MASS lift law HOW MUCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...........
BLHTAZ replied to 88mjmanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
:D That's the spirit...  -
I had the BFG AT's on the MJ for a short time, but did not like them. The ride was OK, but I occasionally got in soft sand and they would get me stuck every time unless I used 4WD  . I have driven the same areas with my Swamper TrXus MT's and have never need 4WD. It's a good deal, but not a tire that I would recommend if asked prior to purchase ;)

I don't have dimensions, but this is what it looks like. This one is actually for a 4.0L, but the size & shape are basically the same. Definitely not anything close to ours...
