  1. You could always change the shafts in the D44 to a matching bolt pattern...
  2. Yep...that configuration allows it to roll and keeps the oil pump working in the t-case. Sounds like whom ever told you how to flat tow did you wrong and deserves a... :thwak:
  3. Yeah...it's possible. I would have the starter tested first thing...and the battery would be next if it were me and the starter tested good. Remember... K.I.S.S. ...if it looks like a Monkey...it probably is a Monkey ;)

    Jeeper Bunny...

Very cool :D If he was Brown & White, he would look just like ours...
  5. OK...the orange made a big difference. It's actually doable that way  :D is still the one for me though.
  6. :shake: This just sux man...sorry to hear it.

Nice...keep us posted on that one. I love those old trucks and you got one hell of a deal
  8. Nice work...looks good like that
  9. Welcome to MJ  It's a whole new learning experience :D
  10. My new favorite Steeler fan... :brows:
  11. :agree: If you are going to build it like that...then I like it
  12. I host it on my personal website. That's why I ask that folks save it to their computer insted of running it off of my site so it doesn't use up all my bandwidth. ;) I have 300mb of space to use and right now I am using about 237mb of it... It probably did come from you. I know that I got it from someone on here quite a while back, but couldn't remember who to give credit to...so here's to you for doing that
  13. It would be a 4.0L if it is a 6 cylinder. The 4.2L, while available in some Jeeps in 1987, was never used in an MJ. Do the things I recommended in my first post and see what happens
  14. Look at this post and see if it helps. It should as it is the complete electrical manual... :brows: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12734
  15. That's not anything anyone can really say. The one on our YJ failed at about 40K. I have seen 20 year old Jeeps that they have never failed on...so... :dunno: Glad to hear it is working OK for you now though...
  16. OK...it is sent to him so we'll see what happens now.
  17. I got a message back from him this morning. Can you tell me what the old email address was so they can "verify" it. I gave him your email address, but for some reason he is responding to me and asking me to get it... :shake:

    Veteran's Day

Happy Veterans Day and thank you to all my fellow members of the Military...past and present.
  19. Is this a 4.0L engine or a 2.5L? If it's 4.0L, try bypassing the ballast resistor and see if it makes any difference. It could also be a problem with the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). You can use this to test that... http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... =9&t=12260 Here is an electrical manual if needed... http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... =9&t=12734 Here is the Renix FSM as well... http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... =9&t=12517
  20. Yep...I just went through this not long ago myself, but mine would rev up to 3000+ RPM and not come down no matter what. I replaced the IAC, MAP, CTS TPS...all to no avail. My problem ended up being a bad ground connection on the battery harness that was my fault from when I replaced the harness... I have a TPS that I bought for my truck and used it for about 15 - 20 minutes. It still looks new and is in the original box from Standard if you determine you need one and can wait a couple days to get it. I paid $114 for it, but will sell it for $80 shipped.
  21. :shake: Seems that their Admins have blocked incoming PM's, but I finally found one that I could get through to so we'll see what happens for you.
  22. Sweet deal. Can't wait to see where you got with it. :wrench:  BTW...welcome to the club and congrats on a great deal
  23. OK...I was going to offer to try to contact someone for you if needed. Let me know if I can help.
  24. Sounds like a posible TPS problem. Check out this post and see what you find... viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12260
  25. It could be a linkage problem, but it's more likely the IAC. I would try removing it and cleaning it and the throttle body real good first, and if that doesn't fix it, then it may be time to replace it.
