As Joe said...there is no "outer" seal on a D30. If you have a seal leaking, no matter which side, you will have to remove the carrier from the diff housing to change it as all seals are on the inside
-
This is a write up on the shaft conversion, but it has the part numbers for the seals you need in it. It will also show you how to go about changing them as it is not a real simple job to do because you have to take the differential out if the housing and change them from inside. Click Here for the write up.

Yes...it includes the sensor and it should run around $115 - $120 IIRC. -
I have had this in my computer forever... Miracle Beer Diet

You are correct JT. I noticed that with the change too. Fixing it would likely involve custom coding of the site though.

I agree...that is a good price. Pull up the carpet on both sides and check the floors...they like to rust out badly. -

I though it was pretty cool that it matched me up with the drummer from Fleetwood Mac... James Doohan is obviously there...Dennis Hopper was not in my choices, but I can see that too

From CHEERS as explained by Cliff Clavin... "Well ya see, Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers." Another couple good quotes that I found... "When we drink, we get drunk. When we get drunk, we fall asleep. When we fall asleep, we commit no sin. When we commit no sin, we go to heaven. So, let's all get drunk and go to heaven!" "24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not." "Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza."

Damn dude... Did your head do this?? If so, I'll bet you have a stiff neck by now... From what I see in those pics...you will be lucky if $2500 covers it, but it will depend on how much you can do yourself.

Looking at a rebuilt Comanche. I have some questions.
BLHTAZ replied to cbates44's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yea...3K is a little steep. If it was a 4cyl 5 spd to start life, then it should have 4.10 gears. If they used the same tranny, that's a bad thing as the AX5 is weak behind a 4cyl so I would NOT trust it to stand up to the 6cyl for any length of time. The more I study your post...the less I think it's worth now. If I were to want it, it would need to have the tranny repalced, new seats, a good tailgate painted and I am sure there would be more if I could see it. I am thinking $1500 - $1800 tops... You can look here fo a reference of axles to determine if it is a D44 for sure. -
While that is likely true, I would not trust it personally. I have never changed a carrier without doing a complete new set up with new pinion bearings, pinion seal, pinion nut (crush sleeve if applicable) & carrier bearings. In the case of replacing a carrier, I would even replace the ring & pinion gears to avoid the chance of them being noisy when re-used, but again, that is my personal preference.
