  1. Thanks...I'll give it a shot...or a dab as it were ;)
  2. Nice!! Love your windshield
  3. :hmm: Now it's working as it should... The only thing I did was pull the stalk out, check it over and put it back in and now everything is working. I'll bet it stops again soon though. Probably a loose connection in the switch / wiring somewhere and I wiggled it enough to get contact again for now. Guess we'll see... The new motor was well worth it though. I didn't know that the wipers were supposed to move like that :clapping: Don...I was going to talk to you about a module when I got my ducks in a row, but right now I am just gonna go with the flow and see what happens with the new developments here. Thanks for the offer and I will remember you on that if I decide I want to do the upgrade anyway
  4. hmmmm...I didn't know they reviewed it either... :dunno: . Good to know
  5. Yeah...we talked about that too, but it seemed that the only reason that his arm appeared to go forward was from the hit...he did not perpetuate the action himself that we could see.
  6. I don't think that last fumble was called wrong. His arm was not moving forward in the multiple replays that we saw...and even the Cards fans that were watching it with me agreed on that. They thought it was an incomplete pass until they saw the replay and then they agreed that it was a fumble and a good call.
  7. Yep...got that looked up already...as well as the stalk #56002951 ;) I looked up the module # too, but forgot to write it down as I am going to see if I can get one elsewhere first. They are a bit expensive even at the price I can get through the dealership I worked at
  8. Guess I'll do a little research here and see what I can come up with. Thanks Don
  9. OK...that's what I was affraid of. My neighbor has a steering wheel puller so I have that covered, but I will have to get the lock plate tool. I'll have to look in to the delay upgrade. Is the module a plug & play add-in? Please remember...me and electrical stuff are like oil & water... :shake:

    Divorced MJ

Sorry if it / I offended you Pat... I thought we were just playing and I did not see anyone been mean or breaking a rule... :dunno:
  11. I will talk to the embroidery guy about it. I can get them and I don't think it would be a problem, but I have not done custom order embroidery before now so I don't' want to try and answer that myself.
  12. They have been like that as long as I can remember... Not good for the blood pressure though ;)
  13. The ZJ steering is much stronger, but it needs to be from one with a V8 engine
  14. Yeah...the stalk is easy to take out and replace, but the actual switch is inside the column housing. The stalk does nothing but activate the switch...there are no electrical parts in the stalk itself. I can't tell if the column needs to be disassembled to change the switch or not and I don't want to start taking it apart and find out that I need a spring place compressor and steering wheel puller that I don't have. Right now, the Mj is the only one of our 3 vehicles that is running. My Ram needs a new battery ($100), and the YJ needs a PCM ($300) :shake:
  15. Is it necessary to disassemble the steering column to change the wiper switch? I have been searching all over and I cannot find info on how to do the replacement. The wipers work on low speed only and stop moving when you turn the switch to high speed. They were almost not moving at all even on low speed so I deduced that the motor was bad and spent $80 to replace that. Now they work nicely on low speed, but still stop when switched to high :shake: . Looking through the FSM...it appears that the switch is bad as well as the motor, but I need to know what I am getting in to before I go spend another $70 on this thing and find out that I don't have the tools to do the job. No tilt, No intermittent...just plain Jane
  16. Nice try but that aint ur truck on those shirts , its a black truck not red . :shake: :rotf: I thought it looked like one I had seen on here... Those Xterrains were what gave it away.
  17. A very balanced game for a Super Bowl. I have not seen a tough close SB like that is a long time. Penalties were definitely the factor in this one and they allowed the Steelers to dominate the first half, and then the Cards were dominant in the second half with a lot of Steeler penalties. I really thought it was over when Fitzgerald took of and ran away with that pass in the 4th, but then I realized that there was still nearly 3 minutes left and I knew that Ben had it in him to make the move...especially with Santonio on fire and being able to beat Rogers-Cromarti all night. This is me with my wife Tina on my left and my Steeler buddy Vicki on my right. We were the only ones still sitting outside in the cold watching the game as everyone else wimped out and went n the house. This shot was during the post game ceremonies.
  18. I purchased the ' JEEP ' tailgate sticker set from Spencer at www.jeepsticker.com back in June of 2007 and was very happy with the entire purchase. Fast-forward to yesterday (1/31/08)... We were out running some errands and I went to open the tailgate when I noticed that all four of the letters were curling at the edges and starting to peel off. I took pictures today and PM'ed then to Spencer thinking that this should not happen in 20 months, but I also condone the fact that I live in Florida where the sun & temps can be brutal on these things and said that I would be willing to buy more if I had to. His immediate response (within 20 minutes) was that he had never seen this happen using the 6 year vinyl, but that he would replace it for free...AND...he is going to order some even better quality vinyl to cut it from before sending it to me if I can wait about 7-10 days. Of course my response is "no problem". Just wanted to let everyone know that he is a stand-up guy and don't hesitate to deal with him if he has something you need
  19. Actually...on those TJ Rubi's, the u-joints on the stub shafts were a known problem. Could be the bearings, but I am leaning a little more to the u-joint. I have a friend that had a Rubi and he went through 3 u-joints in a year after putting 35" tires on it. Believe it or not...they replaced them under warranty every time
  20. We have a little neighborly get together at the house down the street for Super Bowl every year. Weather Report = 68 Sunny w.light breeze Location = House about 4 down the street Guests = Probably 10 - 15 neighbors & friends with about 5 fellow Steeler fans Menu = Spicy Italian sausage, Meatball subs, misc junk food, Super Bowl cake, Beer Prediction = Cards 10 - 7 halftime, STEELERS 24-17 FINAL I still have to run to Autozone for the wiper motor that I oredered for the MJ yesterday. I have it all apart...just have to go get it at about 3PM and put it in before the game starts.
  21. I knew the picture wasn't going to hold the answers...just hoping that it could help you get closer. The parts pics are always very generic. It would seem, by looking at that pic, that there would be only one door going to both of those vents...therefore it would not be possible for one to blow different than the other. Being that you have that situation, I think the picture is very deceiving and is not really what you have in there. I know that the vent louver assemblies can be removed, as I have sold them before, but I have no clue how unfortunately.
  22. I didn't know about the Rancho spring, but I'll remember that for future reference. Having the back higher has nothing to do with hauling. Yes...if it's level, then the back will be a little lower when you havea load in it, but that means nothing as far as the load carrying ability of the truck goes. The only consideration with the back being higher is if it bothers you to see the back lower when hauling. personally, I like to see a level truck and I don't mind if the back is lower when hauling as that is only temporary ;) . The first thing I have done to every truck I have ever had is find a way to level it...I just can't stand to see them with the nose pointing down :shake: :dunno:
  23. Clean the throttle body and IAC real well as suggested. If that doesn't help, then you are likely having an issue with the IAC itself. I had the same issue, but after spending the money on a new IAC, TPS, MAP Sensor, Temp Sensor etc, etc... I found my problem to be a ground issue on the right side of the block :fs1:
  24. I have heard that the ZJ era ('93 - '98) Grand Cherokee seats are a good fit. Nothing is going to be bolt in but MJ seats in these trucks, but if you have the ability to do a little fab work, then you will be good to go.
  25. This picture is from the Chrysler parts look up as I still have access right now ;) . It is not great, but it appears that the center vents are fed directly off of the housing by a door that may not be opening, while the outers are fed by those flexible hoses... Don't know if this will help, but it's all I could find.
