  1. Heat gun, hair dryer, hot water (don't pour on frozen glass) :dunno: I'm in Florida where it's 84* so what do I know...
  2. I like this too. It's new...but...looks old

    color test....

    I got 88% on my own...then I tried JT's way and got 100% :rotf:
  4. Yep...the early to mid 80's Waggys had that set-up. I had an '84 for a short time, but it had the vacuum disconnect D44 front. Some nice finds there though JT
  5. 4.5" is actually what you need if you want to run 33's without needing to cut it  . I agree with you about tire clearance...I hate to see a truck with a tire stuffed in the wheel well...there should be plenty of room all around the tire  . The stuffed tight look is for low-riders & ricers ;)
  6. For a 3" lift, you need lower control arms...and...I would recommend uppers as well, although they are not as important immediately. You also need an adjustable track bar. I can't imagine anyone selling just springs for a 3" lift and not LCA's and a track bar...that is just ignorance... :shake: Don't understand what you are asking here...?? It's like there are words missing or something...??

    Frog Test

OK...if it's a Chinese thing, why is it written in Spanish...or something that looks Spanish...??

    Frog Test

:huh???: That doesn't work. They will only jump over one frog at a time. In order to move frog 1 to rock D, that means he has to go over two frogs and it won't do it :dunno: What is the ultimate goal of this frustration?? :D
  9. :rotf: I expect most everyone will be getting their shirts in the first couple days of March. I will get all of them ordered on Monday, probably pick them up Tuesday and take them to the printer and then it will take 7-10 days to get them back and a couple to mail them out. They will all be mailed using Priority Mail so they will get there ASAP once sent  Any changes...I will update
  10. I have sent out reminders to those that have not paid yet. Please be sure to get your payments to me no later than this Sunday...2/15/09. PayPal is now the ONLY form of payment that can be used as a money order will not get to me in time now unless you are willing to spend the money to send it overnight. I know some of you have already sent money orders and they will be coming soon I'm sure so this is not directed to you...only new orders or unpaid current orders. Thanks for all the orders  . It looks like we are going to be close to 50 shirts this time if everyone completes their orders as I have them. :clapping:
  11. I have a mixture on mine. I have the RE 3.5" Super Ride kit on the front and the Hell Creek 3" leaf springs on the rear. I am very happy with the ride all around  I did the AAL thing to start with and, while it did the trick, it was a VERY rough ride. An AAL is OK for a temporary solution, but it will sag back down in just a year or so.
  12. I would never recommend the BFG AT's, but the Mt's are good. The AT's were useless to me...wet road traction was very poor, they would not go anywhere in sand and they got stuck on wet grass :shake: . Some have said they are good in snow, but that is something that I don't have the ability to test...nor do I care to ;) I prefer my Swampers or Xterrains  ...although...the Nitto Terra Grapplers on my 2002 Ram have done very well for an AT / Street tire, but I would never go less aggressive than the Terra Grappler.
  13. Those "T" harnesses are getting hard to find any more as all of the newer vehicles must have vehicle specific set-ups to make them work and the wiring cannot be "spliced" into. Just another thing that is going to be a little difficult on our old trucks. ;) You will have to go to a trailer suppply or a boat store. Auto parts stores & truck accessory shops are not going to be much help as you have discovered.
  14. No. I've done it to all my CAD D30's without issues. It'll just make your front d-shaft spin while driving down the road (all '91+ XJ's and pre '91 with the 242TC do this anyways). Correct... The CAD axle was just a mistake. They rectified it by going back to a one piece design after just a few years as Adam stated.
  15. Motion Offroad has some nice stuff. Rubicon Express makes a nice MJ kit. Hell Creek Suspensions has a good product for the MJ as well.
  16. 80% of the folks that know around here will tell you to stay FAR AWAY from Rustys. Poor quality, poor customer service etc, etc... DON'T DO IT!! Pay a little more money and get a good kit from a better supplier
  17. Skyjacker makes an 8" kit for XJ's (there was one in the classifieds here not long ago), but there is nothing that big made for MJ's. If you have fab ability you could make it work for the front and the rear would have to be a custom make up to match it. As Pete suggested though...you are going to have to upgrade your axles as well if you intend to run 35's unless you already are a fortunate one to have found a truck the the D44 rear then all you have to do is some upgrade to the strength of the D30 front. You can easily get 35's under the 6.5" kit if you are willing to do a little trimming. Personally, I would put some Bushwacker flares on it with the 6.5" kit, do the axle upgrades & be done
  18. :agree: ...especially with the "get what you pay for" part...
  19. Why don't you just put it in the locked postion and keep it there. On page 3 of this thread is a real easy way to do it... CLICK HERE. Or you can find a write up on converting to the one piece shaft and not have the actuator at all. You can build your own actuator cable out of a bicycle cable if you want to get creative
  20. Yes, if it's getting antifreeze on it, that will make it squeel like crazy. I use the 1/4 twist method. Tighten it up and the grad the belt as close to center as possible where it runs across the top and twist it. If you can easily turn it past 1/4 twist, tighten it a little more until a 1/4 twist is firm. There are also folks that us the play in the belt to judge it too. If you push on the belt there should be no more than a 1/2" give in it in the longest section between two pulleys. edit: Didn't see Cole's response before I posted some of the same info again  ;)
  21. The light bar in my truck, that Rich referred to, came out of a 2001 Ranger from a kid down in Ft Myers...
  22. A quick search for threads started by Eagle revealed this... viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10935 As he said...check it out...
  23. It's very possible, but you still need an alignment at minimum. The person doing your alignment will be able to tell you for sure if the steering gear is your problem or not as he will not be able to do a proper alignment if it is. If you are sure enough about the gear...replace it...and then go get an alignment. ;)
  24. No...unfortunatley not. The gas tanks are different and an XJ sender will not work in an MJ. Like I said though, I am not sure that it has anything to do with it so let's wait a little bit as I am sure on of the guys on here has experienced this.
  25. Not different guages, but they do use different sending units. I don't know if it would cause this issue though, but it's the only thing that comes to mind right off.
