    POLICE CHECK

Why do people have to hate on Law Enforcement...?? :dunno: They are doing a job that most people would not even think about doing or are scared to do. These guys go out every day and literally risk their lives for the good of the general public. They do not need a reason to pull you over as they can do it just for the sake of checking for current insurance and registration if they want. If you get pulled over for anything...no matter what the reason...you should be courteous to the officer and thank him for what he does. I put my level of respect for the men and women in Law Enforcement just under that of the Soldiers serving in our Military. If you hate or fear cops...you must have broken, or currently be breaking a law....otherwise there is no reason... I will grant that there are "bad people" in Law Enforcement as has been proven, but this is not one of those cases where "one bad apple spoils the bunch". / Sorry, but I just get really tired of seeing people say "I hate cops" when there is no reason for it.
  2. OK...this is the second time I have seen this same post. Once is plenty...
  3. Looks like a good solid base and shouldn't be too hard to restore
  4. :shake: Some people just don't get it... :rotf:
  5. I wouldn't be willing to pay more than $500 for it, but you may find someone that would give a little more. If it was mine, I would start it at maybe $800 and take offers. Being up North...they tend to sell for a little more than down here.
  6. OK...the shirts are finally ordered. I had a few issues this time around, but thankfully I got phone numbers from everyone and was able to resolve a couple of the them quickly, but the others have cost us a couple days. We will have the shirts on Thursday and then get them to the printer on Friday which means if all else goes right, most of you should be seeing them in your mail boxes between March 5th - 10th at worst
  7. I agree...over all, this is not a good thing. I guess the motorcycle industry will be the next with out-stretched hands for bailout money... :shake:
  8. You figured that out rather quickly... :pcwhack: :thwak: :laughin:
  9. Site is looking great...Thanks! Hope the wife gets better soon. I had my gallbladder removed back in 1992 because of stones. I was in the hospital for 2 days and out of work for 4, but it was a very easy thing to get over and I never really felt very bad after the surgery, but it was horrible before. I left the hospital, went home, took a shower and had Pizza & Beer for lunch :D I hope it's as easy for her.
  10. I know that it is ultimately up to the parent, and should be...but, IMO...children under 12 do not need to be riding motorcycles or atv's anyway so I see this as a good thing in that respect. I do feel bad for dealers / manufacturers if it happens though.
  11. As long as the motor is not stroked, you can use the same injectors from '87 - '95. Renix or HO does not matter.
  12. The front will be a D30, but with CV axle shafts most likely. The rear could be a D35 or a D44, but if it is a D44 it will have the aluminum center (differential housing) section which you don't want. It's not a good donor vehicle no matter what is under it really...
  13. If you decide to mess with the rear end, you probably have a D35 back there now...and you don't want that or to spend any money on it...it's junk. The D44 or Ford 8.8 are the easiest swaps and much stronger. The tranny fluid plugs have a square hole in them that looks like a 3/8 drive ratchet extension will fit in it...BUT...it won't. It is an odd size that I can not remember right now. I'll see if I can find it... EDIT: It appears to be a 5/16" square. You can either grind down a 3/8" extension to fit or go buy a short piece of 5/16" solid stock from the hardware store and use a wrench to turn it.

    Mj from quebec

Welcome... There are quite a few Canadians on here...just don't know how many from Quebec.
  15. Lift it 8" ~ decide that it's to high ~ lower it 4" = DONE!  :rotf: j/k ... sorry, but I had to...
  16. Real hard to tell with that limited info. -Start by checking all your fluids if you haven't yet. -Bearing & u-joints have been known to make noises like that too -Could be coming from the engine...what shape is the intake tube from the air box to the throttle body in?

    POLICE CHECK

:rotf: What are the chances of that...
  18. That's a great story and way of looking at it. I am sure there are some people that will relate to it in that way, but the thing about the "Jeep Thing" is...it's not the same for most anyone which is why no one will understand it ;) ...that much we understand...get it... :dunno: :rotf:
  19. I don't really understand the "coding" end of the site which is why we have a webmaster over there. He said it was not hard at all and only took a short time. I was looking at THIS not too long ago, but I just don't understand...
  20. 30's will go on without a lift, but they will be close and will likely rub a little now & then. The rear is no problem...just the front. You could do something like this
  21. Yes...the 8.8's do use c-clips. That is the one downside to them. Iremember a friend of mine a few years ago having to do c-clip eliminators in his Mustang for drag racing as they were not allowed to run c-clip axles when running certain speeds or times. Yes...there is modification required to install them. There will be some cutting & welding to be done on perches and most people will change the pinion flange that they come with to a regular yoke style connector. Disk brakes are more desired for their better braking power.
  22. The YouTube thing is sweet. I admin on another site and we had our webmaster load it. It allows the video to show & play right on the post just like embedding it on any website. It codes it like this... video url here Then there is no added load on this sites bandwidth as it is a stream
  23. I have already noticed some changes  Any chance that we are going to get the YouTube add-on so we can actually post / stream videos in the thread instead of using links to go off-site?
  24. Easiest thing to do is pull a drum off and measure the width of the inside surface where the shoes make contact...if you have the drums that is.
  25. Glad you're home safe man. We'll be waiting on the pics...
