Personally I try to be color blind when it comes to interactions with people. I'd prefer to judge them by their personalaties and behaviorual aptitude regardl;ess of their social-economic or cultural back grounds. I have developed friend-ships with people from various cultural & ethnic diversities who are fine individuals, but, I have also met just as many who appear to have no fruitful attributes. Politicians are a different lot it seems. I judge them on a totally different basis. I consider them all con artists with ego problems to start with and learned disinformational liars by association. The first native anerican who used the term "speak with forked tongue" got it right when dealing with beauracrats. I'm getting off-subj here.

Hey, this is turning out just like that vote in Flordia a few years ago. The whiners lost there also. I agree with the earlier comment that this is a wide open voting option contest based on parameters set-forth by the sponsors them-selfs. Kinda like the big political machines do when it beneficial to their interests. Go girl..............

Using a hand held cutoff and a drill fabricate a set of rear brackets like these out of 1/4" flat stock that utilize the original mounting holes on the frame. You can then attach any type of bumper you want to the end of it . Image Not Found[/img] This what I mounted on mine in lieu of tubing all for about $55. . Image Not Found[/img]

No problem. I just threw it out there as an option for guys & gals who don't have a couple hundred in their pocket, but, can come up with $15-25. Still procrastenating on press testing mine.

For those of us who have wondered what it takes to repair the plastic tanked aluminum radiator when those end caps begin to leak just puruse the pics. Start by using a big screw driver and pry up those lil tabs holding the tank on. Acquire the rubber gasket (got mine at a rad. shop) install gasket & crimp the tabs down at 150 ft #. or the best you can. I used a big punch & hammer & hope you don't crack anything. Now, when I get around to it I've got to cap one end & put the hose to it to see if I did a good job before I put it back in the Cherokee. Image Not Found[/img] No wonder the tranny cooler is inefficent, theres not much to it. Warm water just passes thru the tube to cool it. Image Not Found[/img] Well if you screw the job up then you can still sell the 6# of aluminum, it's now $1.479 a pound. Image Not Found[/img]

If AWD has no traction as in the case you just set forth, 3 on dry ground 1 on ice, why is it manufactured at all?

Sounds sick to me. But to each their own.

Thats a major leak yuh got there. A couple of 4 x 4 sheets of plexaglas & 1/2 dz rolls of duct tape ought to plug it up.

Mine leaked on both sides at the door, ran down past the hinges under the door sill plate and then ran into the cab from under the sill. Turned out to be the strip of seal JEEP added to the under side of the A pillar when they found out they had a leak problem. I pryed them away from the pillar a bit & squirted sealer under them & then used masking tape to hold them tight against the pillar until the sealer dryed. Haven't had a leaak since. Here's a pic of that rubber strip. Image Not Found[/img]

Well I can scratch my project listed a few posts back. Solved my shift problem, it was just a blown diode in my home made 2d gear push button switch. Slapped a new one in & functions like new. : :D

Well since my MJ is bypassing 2nd on the upshift I'm going to be tracking down the why fours on that. Ive already eliminated the TCU as a problem. I know my #2 solenoid, which should read 13-15 OHM is showing 0. So I'll replace it 1st and see if I need to proceeed beyond that. Seeing as how the TV's stratigically located in the garage this may take a few hours.

My neighbor said that looks like the one that ate her last cat Fri morning. She had 3 or 4 mouser cats at the ranch, now she has none. Oh well, we got to many feral cats around the country anyways. If I catch my neighbors cats crapping in my yard they seem to evaporate.

Well as I said it was just a lousy piece of equipment made by a guy who may have been having a bad bout of soy sauce diarrhea that day & was more concerned with his A-hole than the hole in the air gun. The ball joint press was just a weak alloy. No cheater bar was used on it.
-
Use a dremel or what-ever to grind off the top of the door pins down to bare metal. That way the pin will standout so you can see what you have got to hit on. Take a real long punch of appropriate size, slightly smaller than the outside dia. of the pin (grind one down if necessary) & beat the hell outa the pins. They will come out. When the door is off you will have open acess to them onery tork bolts. Keep-um soaked with PB for awhile & they will come loose.

I knew better, but, being nearby, inexpensive, and need it now, I went to Harbor and picked up their better ball joint press. Looked pretty and sturdy, however, on the upper ball joint it began to flex out o shape a lil. But I got that one out. On the lower ball with not a whole lot of pressure (using 1/2 drive & both hands to reef on it) it bowed totally out o shape without budging the ball a smidge. So having saved my receipt I took it back. 2nd mistake, I decided to take a fine looking air operated grease gun in exchange. I get home load in a grease cartrige and try to shove the rod into the tube. It don't fit. Come to find out the rubber plunger is larger dia. than the cartridge. I trimmed it down assembled gun & put air to it. It don't work. Noticed air escaping around trigger, tighten it all up, same thing happens. Disassemble trigger & find that the tapped hole is seriously misaligned & threads don't match threads on trigger retaining nut. Really crude manufacturing. Metal threads were still present indside gun. Put it together again pull trigger and ka-pow the trigger & misc. parts eject. Didn't find em all. Lesson learned: Don't buy stuff (made in China especially) just cause its cheap, looks good & is expedient.
