Came across this for sale today (see photo) . SB, 2wd, manual, 4L. Can anyone run a VIN 1JTMW6410JT051034 to chk yr & tranny equip. I'll guess its a 90. Tan vinyl full bench with A/C it look like. . It was locked so couldn't check get inside. No apparent rust in bed or on body & paint is in really good cond & only one slight ding. It will take a couple days to run the owner down & see what he wants for it . Like I really need a 3rd one in the stable. Image Not Found [/img]Image Not Found Image Not Found[/img]

That quick disconnect was $25 at the local dealer for one (1).Call it robbery. -

How old an aftermarket tach.? Real old ones just used a wire from distributor to the tach. Don't know what digital tachs require. But, new ones come with instructions I'm sure.

NOPE. Gotta change the oil pressure and temp sensor

Oh, I forgot to mention you were taking advantage of the poor guy by using reverse which is a much lower gear ratio than forward gears. Additional you may, repeat may, have gained a traction advantage on your rear wheels by the downward compression forces of the two opposing vehicles. Who knows, next time try it rear to rear and see what gives. If you win again then you have bragging rights.

Rattlecan "Deluxe Package"
deziped replied to WahooSteeler's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Well I got the panel painted, as you can see below, however, when it came time to apply the clear coat I discovered my 1/2 gal of clear on the shelf had WALKED. I think it went about 50 miles up the road to my son's house. So much for that experiment. So I called my automotive painting son-in-law and asked him about using rattle can paint. He says he has tryed cleared over rattle can. But it had to be layed on within a 30-60 minute time frame (drying) after the paint was applied & it had to have the hardener in it. It always faded early and never lasted more than 10-12 months before peeling & other problems showed up do to non compatability (as you mentioned) of the chemicals in the products. Image Not Found -
Rattlecan "Deluxe Package"
deziped replied to WahooSteeler's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Outa curiosity on Sunday I'll sand down an old panel, primer it with rattle can, and spray base with rattle can & let it dry. I' ll shoot half with clear coat after 4 hours & the other half after 12 hours & see what happens. I'd do it tonight or tomorrow but I gotta get outa here in the AM for Portland and will be back Sat sometime. Then I'll throw it in the MJ's bed until when-ever & see what mother nature does to it. Pics will be posted. -
Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain :brows:

I had black (they have color choices) Reflex shot in mine under & over the rails for $350. It appears to be as good if not better than Rhino as it hasn't faded or lost any adherene & it been on over a year. Maybe thers a Rflex applicator in your area. This is over a year old photo, but, it still looks like this today. Image Not Found[/img]

Perfect location. You'll get a direct shot of the oil & gas aroma cooking on the engine & dumping in the cowl intake. Oh well, give the engine a bath once a week & it won't be over-whelming. ;)

The rear looks just like my RX7 when a Freightliner took me 35 right on thru a redlight. But I'm guessing a pichup smacked it and knocked it into a guard rail & under a taller vehicle. My 2c.

My 89 is non-factory air & the connectors are not present in it either. Just run a hot wire off the distribution block to a relay & go from there.

I need some measurements..

For a comparison of gas & E85 go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E85#Compar ... r_gasoline In Oregon they mandated (I believe) a 10% mix of the stuff in 87 octane gas. Since then my MPG have dropped by 3-4. It suck's. They may sell it cheaper, but, you buy more to go the same distance as using gas.

"Congrats" to you Steph.

3 light coats with just over 5 quarts, and I was a lil wasteful, got me this, and I still had a bit left for minor touch ups from park lot damages now & then. [/img]

Some fast fight action there. About as quick as their breeding action. Their gestation isn't slow either. Man you can build a herd of them things in a Summer.

Looks like the tie rod was bent a little by contacting the diff cover. I wonder if the axle housing's are straight.
