  1. Looking at the posts, we could have around 10 MJ's + some other guy's :D Charles
  2. PM sent. Charles
  3. I found a guy that has a ax5 for a 2.5, been told that the 3rd gear grinds a little. How hard would it be to overhaul it??? He has it for $50 OBO , only problem is it's in AZ so shipping is going to run about $85 to get it back to Ohio. Charles
  4. That is not bad if that is a flat price that also covers in court time. Charles
  5. I think we will drive out Friday night after work so we have all day and drive home that night. Charles
  6. So how many MJ's are we talking about for the 18th now :D I am trying to talk the wife and daughter to follow us out in the ZJ  if we get the MJ on the road by then it most likely the first trip of over 5 miles on her :chillin: Also do we have a meet time yet, need to know if we need to save for a room or just drive out in the morning. They make a drop bracket setup to level it back out. Buy the time you do a body lift and get all the items to finish the job, you can get the drop brackets and do the setup that I was looking at  The parts to rase the stick shift and trans case shift cost almost as much as the body lift kit. Charles
  9. Wish I caould find 31's for that price. Charles

Thanks, Think I will try with the setup I have now and see how much problems I have with the tires. Work on getting tow hooks on the front and maybe replace the shocks that look like what came on it. Charles
  11. Had a place in Tellico Plains, sure miss it  Some day we will have another place in the area ;) Charles

Wish I could, but just can't bring my self to cut up my truck :brows: The thing I like lest about a lift on my Ranger is that I will have to put step bars on as I can just get my leg up to the door now  Charles
  13. Yep, Doing the same thing as Jeff. Pick this and that up as I find a great deal. Down the the front DS, trans, t-case shifter and floor console. Charles

I am at 19-20 mpg now, do not want to drop more then 1-2 mpg ;) Here is a 2" lift that I have been looking into, enough to give room on the front tires. I would be ok on the back but the front is real tight on the corners just parked in the drive. http://www.fatbobsgarage.com/cart/index ... &parent=66 I will not be using this for hard trails, the MJ can do that :D Charles
  15. Thanks, We will make it one way or the other :D Charles

Kind of off topic  No better place then here to ask this question :D I got my Ranger back in Oct. and the only thing I have done to it is put new 31" tires on it. Would like to start doing a couple things on it just in case we do not have the MJ ready this summer. This is my DD in the winter and I drive 80 miles a day so do not want to go over kill  The specs are a very stock: 93 Ranger Super 4.0 3.73 5-speed w/HD clutch 31" tires What I think my first item I need is about 2-3" lift to give my tires more room :brows: But here are some photos and let me know what you think I need :D Charles
  17. It's only 4.5 hrs away :D Count us in, that will be my early B-day outing as it only 4 days early  Few questions looking at the web site and as this will be the first time wheeling, if you do not count what I did on the farm and snow when I was a young pup: If we do not have the MJ ready, lot to have ready by 8/18 with our budget :chillin: Can we show up with my Ranger and not be sacrificed for not driving a Jeep :D the Ranger is equiped with 2 - Comanche Club.com stickers in the back window and could be fit with a large front window sticker I also see on the site where they talk about Roll Bars are needed at one place and then in another spot they say you do not need them in Pickups and SUV's. I am looking for one in the Ranger but not sure I will find one by then. My neighbor just got one for his Ranger at a yard sale for $40 :headpop: Can we run the Ranger w/o one? Charles
  18. Dumb @$$ question but where is the badlands  We sure would like to come if we have the MJ ready :brows: But then we could just bring my Ranger  Charles
  19. I am 44 and my son is 16 going on 17 this fall. Charles
  20. Will have to check tonight. Charles
  21. What all does the MAP sensor control in the 2.5? I replaced the MAP sensor in the MJ last night and now I have more problems :headpop: The old one we had to unplug and just leave the vac hooked up to the sensor keep the engine running, know it was bad as we tested in my daughters olds and it did not work in it. Now we put the new one in it last night and it starts backfires and dies right away. Can not keep it running  Tested it in the Olds and works fine. Hook the old one back up on vac and it starts and runs  So got a feeling something else is also out :headpop: Charles
  22. Will give it a try this weekend  Thanks, Charles
  23. It must be an optical illusion of the tires  Here are photos of both rims at 0 degs. Here is what I see  Here is caster with the wheel turned all the way left on the drivers side. Here is caster with wheel stright ahead on drivers side. Charles
  24. I will check again tonight. Also if I pull the center cap off the rim I should be able to check the rim and see if I have 0 deg camber on the rim  What I have been thinking is if the UCA's are off and have so much caster that toe may my be giving the look of camber being off like you stated. I will see if I can check everything tonight and take some photos. It has to be something dumb as it's the same axle and tires that were on it and the lift parts worked for you and Bountyhunter. Charles
  25. Thanks, Need to look at the control arm geometry being I replaced both uppers and lowers. Charles
