Know what you are talking about. Had to replace my fuel pump on my Ram last year. The Dealer was on $10 more for a OEM pump them Auto Zone. Always check the dealer first, 95% of the time they will be higher but that 5% they can be lower. Back in 82 I needed some trim for my 66 mustang, the JY wanted $20 and it was bent and dented. Went to Ford and ordered it and walked out with a new OEM one for $13. Then there was the time I got a gate rod for my K5 that was $45 and I stopped my MidWest Maf. to see my uncle and he looked at the rod in my pocket and took me back on the floor and made a new on for me and told me they charged GM $2.50 for it and they only had $1.00 in it  Charles

Did you call them up to see if they have them? I have been watching the e-bay store site but have not seen the ones for a MJ yet. Charles

Thought I seen a GM shackle??

"They are 2" drop shackles from the chevy fullsize truck" Is that a stock shackle I can get off the neighbors 1500 tonight ;) Charles -
I thought I had seen where someone was using rear shackles off a GM truck that were around the size of 1.5" drop shackle to get a little lift? Charles
-
It can be with all springs. The stock springs on our MJ is off 3/4" on the passenger side. I just told my son to always carry a passenger that is 50# less then him and it will ride right :D Charles
-
Not much work, put the MJ on the lift and pull the axle and slide it under the springs. Take about 2 hrs. Charles
-
All I need is a set of spring perches ( would leave the ones on top for if/when we would go SOA ) have everything else to go back SUA. Charles

JeepcoMJ Thanks, what I was thinking. Rokhound Also need new uppers and lowers for 8" and most likely drop brackets then need to get the T case lower, and 8" has sharp angles for the DS. Some stuff you can get but finding DB at a good price is not easy as well as the UCA's and LCA's. Charles

Well we got the bed back on and the hope that it would drop the back, and it did not help  Here is the problem, When we got the 8.8 we went SOA and even with 2wd springs to level the MJ out we need a 7.5" block under the front tires  A 7.5" would be great if not for 1) this will be his first truck and what he will learn to drive on. 2) do not have the funds at this time for a 8" lift  So looking for a solution right now. Only think I can think of right now is to go back SUA and build some spring packs and shackles . Anything else I can do? Charles

If it's been a very long time it may not be in the system any longer. I can try at work but LEADS may not work. Best bet is go to the DMV and tell them what is going on and they should be able to help. Charles

Also used the SS nylon lock nuts. Trip to Lowes and it was done  Charles
-
When we put the front ones on we just used some SS bolts with 2 large fender warshers on each side and it worked great. Charles
-
Kind of what I thought :D Charles
-
Thanks, He told me to get 4.5" lift ZJ springs when I do the front lift. Did not know why unless it was for the winch when we mount it. Charles
-
Had someone yell me to use ZJ springs on the front of the MJ, what is the difference? Charles
-
So what would be a good muffler for a 2.5? Right how only have no muffler or cat  Charles

A few years back I was walking by a RV getting fuel at a truck stop and in the car being pulled was a nice SS ram strapped around the drivers seat running down to the the brake peddle. It had a small plate at the peddle and a large plate at the seat back and a line that ran out the window w/ the light wiring to the RV. All I know is it looked like He!! and I wanted out in front him  Charles
