I have seen buildup from Quaker State back in the 70's, not sure if they have changed things now or not. But I run Castrol in my 4 cyl, Valvoline in the 6&8's, Mobil 1 when I want Syn in a car, Amsoil in bikes, and Shell Rotala-T in Diesel's :D If not for so many oil changes (about 120 qts a year) I would just use Mobile 1 or Amsoil. I have been having very good luck with Castrol in my 4cyl and the engine and ports are very clean that I am thinking about going stright Castrol except for the Diesel. Charles

Nothing wrong with a 19 yr old DD, just take good care of it and replace items prior ot going out when you see problems. I took my flight training on a 40+yr old plane, I was 2 when it came off the factory floor :D I could have used a 30yr old one but I liked that old 172. How long is the rear DS on a 4.0 ax-15 short bed. Going to have to cut down the rear DS and need to know how long so I do not look dumb when I go to the shop. Charles

Do you have an Amsoil dealer near you? They now carry WIX filters, the 4.0 filter is $7.15 so yours should be close. You can order on line from Amsoil but you need to order a couple filters to cover the difference in shipping. They also carry the full line to WIX filters. Charles
