Wiring problems we found this weekend. The PS sensor has blades but the only plug in that area is for pins. Not sure if it's for the PS or something else. On the right side I have this little plug I think has something to do with the A/C. Also have this wire and have no ideal where it goes. Have this plug. Thought it went here, but the plug is different. Here is a plug ext that will fit the plug above and goes from a 4 pin plug to a 2 pin plug, but not sure what it fits into. Will not fit into the coil  Any ideals on what they go into? Also have not found any plug that is flat on one side that will fit into the coil

Mine gets 19-20 dirve or pushing it  If I ever get the $2,000 I need, I just want to put the James Duff 3" lift and bumpers on it :D Charles

Thanks That is a big help :D On the harness back in the left corner I have two plugs alike where the warsher tank is. I take it one is for the washer pump and the other to tell when the tank is low? Also on the fuel rail I have a wire comming out the front about 2' long with a 4 prong yellow plug on it and a clamp. Can not find anything to plug it into

Think out of the box and pice it together  Have a look at 88MJay's build, he had a set of long arms that looked great. and with everything piced together would come in just under a grand.

Also can use a photo of the diasnostic link connector and where it's located on a 91. Thanks

What is the trans power / comfort switch for and do you need it?
-
Anyone with a 91 MJ able to take some photos under the hood so I can use to place the wiring and ECU location???
-
Thanks, I sure hope so ;) Going to drop the engine & drive line in after work today :D Did see that the 2 blade switch on the PS pump / line did not have any plugs that would plug into it on the harness  Not sure if they changed the switch from 89 to 91?

Yes, It looks like what I need. Let me know shipping to 43102 and I will send the $$ Friday when I get paid. "why didn't yours have this? it should be in the xj you are using. or in the pile of parts you have removed from it..." Did not even think about it  thought it just had the one computer. We did not use a doner for this project. But we are looking at an XJ right now but it's going to be dads wheel toy :D Just have to sale one of my RC helis or plane so I can get it ;)

Yes cab  I have the ECM for the front left inner fender-well. Just need the one for inside. The green plug was located on the harness to enter on the right side. Could the black wire with it be for the trans power / comfort switch? If so do I need to get it? I did find that the wire with relay in the other group was something aftermarket and I pulled it. Just need to find what the other ones go to  Send the photos, $5 + shipping sounds good :D Charles

Check e-bay. I seen some aftermarket ones a few weeks ago for around $18 on a buy now price.
-
Was not on the old one, the green plug looks like it plugs into somethig other then another harness. It was set to enter the cap on the right side, so I bet it's for the trans computer.
-
Thanks, Looks like I will need to go on the hunt for one now  Pick-N-Pull road trip  Charles

Not sure what year the harness is from, but the plug / wires are on the drivers side and the relay is on about 3' of wire from the rubber plug. Also if this helps the ECM is located on the front drivers side
-
My first thought was the Diagnostic Link Connector as I do not see anything else that looks like it. But then the black plug has me lost   I did not get a transmission computer, did the 91's come with it???

Started to put the wiring harness in for the 4.0  Our MJ is a 89 Renex and the new wiring harness is from a post 91  Have a couple items that are different and not sure what / where they go. On the old system the ECU plug went her. But where / what do I do with the 2 plugs here? ( The green one and small black one in my hand) The old system did not even have a hole in the firewall for this plug. what / where do I run the plugs here and what is the relay for? Thanks

Got it from Warf90. Came off of a 89 Parts XJ he got. Looks like it may be home made  Charles -
