  5. Nice! Although it's the a ten hour drive from miami....take pics!!!! Enjoy man
  6. Honestly your better off buying a southern comanche with little rust for $1000-$1500 and pay to get it transported for $600... I wouldn't even waste my time although just looking at the rust makes me cringe....
  7. Did you change the inner seal when you installed those shafts? Or are they from that specific year? Or a swapped axle?
  8. I was thinking about doing this to my skid plate but I knew after a few weeks I would've painted it black again so I didn't bother.... I was really considering before I got my paint job to go with a flying tigers theme on the whole truck but I didn't want my truck to seem like a toy...since I dd it...I'm glad I went with the white
  9. What's up guys got an update....I finally installed my xrc8 winch...I never knew spooling a winch can be sooo complicated....I had to literally take the winch apart to untangle the previous owners mess....enough talking more pics..... Smittybilt "low profile roller fairlead" looks nice
  10. Dang dude...you've got a sweet rig...but every other pic is Carnage!!!!!

  15. Well I did the valve cover upgrade on the tj now we have a big problem or really a question.... I noticed that the transmission was missing the bell housing cover that cover the front of the transmission.... Does one off a 2.5 xj fit on there?
  16. I haven't seen black but I have seen white but not going down the pillar...this guy in the pic had a white top with the pioneer stripes(don't know him personally/ my girl saw the truck at a mini mall and she had to send me a pic)...looks different
  17. 1978 amc spirit Ive never seen one....it was in good shape except for the door/ hatch hinges which were rusted that as soon as I open any it would lean or fall down but the PO put in a bolt on interior roll cage and a small block engine(I'm assuming)
  18. Will the 98 Dakota 4cyl valve cover upgrade work on a 2000 tj?
  19. Depends on the locker, if you get a full case 29 spline locker you should only need the shafts. If you go with a lunch box locker you will need a carrier for a 29 spline axle. Ok yeah I was planning to buy the lunchbox from lokka...so I'll have to be on a look out for a full case 29spline 8.25
  20. http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/cto/4385838189.html This is the donor you want to look for. Yeah but I don't have a full size truck or trailer to bring it down to miami... Edit: oops sorry I didn't read what you wrote...yes I saw a few that I know had the 27spline when I went back to the jy I saw 2 29spline ones but one was already taken and I know the other one by now should be gone to....
  21. Ok to bring this thread back to life... I wanted to ask if I were to buy a 27spline 8.25 with 4.10 gears and if I grab some axle shafts from a 29spline (I do plan on buying a locker) is there any differences? Sorry if I sound newbie I'm just trying to set myself up the right way...thanks in advance
  22. Nice score on the seats dude... I've only seen two sets of these seats In junkyard hunting....still looking for a set Can't wait to see them installed
