  2. The Kobe Bryant "We just wet the bed" comment pretty much summed up last night.
  3. God I hope that was a photochop and Mike didn't put the stripes on backwards! :D Seriously I like the stripes and you have two other Comanche's to play with in good shape. I bought the "eliminator stickers" from that guy on ebay and they were top notch (at least compared to the NOS eliminator stickers I got from the PO of my truck. The paint job looks great BTW.
  4. Me too Eagle. I think Cousy and Bill Sharman were one of the best backcourt duos ever. Cousy was probably the best playmaker of his day, and Sharman one of the best pure shooters ever. Bob Cousy was legend in 69 I was 8 years old but my father was an avid Celtics fan which made me one ever since. As I recall Cousy was the first to utilize the around the back layup, man was he way ahead of his time!
  5. Nice work! I have the 1986 MJ clock from ebay out in my garage; folks around here think I am obsessed :D
  6. Thanks again I could use the extra little light, I can't see the A/C controls at night.
  7. I think the one connector is for the dash light but what is the other connector for? Any help is much appreciated!
  8. Damn I must be one old geezer but I watched Wilt Chamberlain and Jerry West VS Bill Russel and John Havlicek. Man was that a great series in 69!
  9. I had the same thing happen to me when I was drilling through the frame in my old TJ to install rear towhooks. Drilled a hole in the plastic fuel tank and used the epoxy to reseal it. By the way what kind of aluminum radiator are you using? My radiator is starting to fail (I overheat only in really hot weather) and the one in Quadratec is $499. I'm using the one in the link below, the Jeep Cherokee #9168. $200 shipped. This is the only rad that would cool my new stroker during the break-in period. They work great and are well made. BTW, I'm modifying my electric fan conversion and did a writeup in the DIY project writeups section. http://www.alumrad.com/dblpass.html Sure beats $500, nice DIY writeup.

  11. I am doing the same thing when I replace the balast in the drivers door, a little speaker insulation really helps keep outside sounds out and inside sounds in.
  12. jerk. :P bring the digi-cam Hey, is that any way to treat a fellow MJer? ;) I don't hold it against you that you have an actual area to work on your MJ, unlike some of us. I'll defiantly post pics once I make it up there. Mike, If they let you in let me know, last time I asked I was told "we are not a pick and pull". That being said I have bought a few things from them all delivered fast. I usually buy things you can't buy new anymore and need them to be rust free.
  13. I agree, BTW my 1972 Datsun 521 had those hooks too.
  14. Very true also do not leave out when the federal reserve "prints" more money by giving out "loans" to bail out major Wall Street firms for example Bear Stearns Cos. the dollar is further weakened.
  15. Yes, the 7-slot definitely looks great, especially in chrome. :D Wish I could use one on my 91, but the grille styles changed in 91 and the upper molding strip was part of the grille and headlight doors instead of a separate piece. I have a 91, and I just ordered one of those grills so I will let everyone know what it takes to mount it on a 91. As Hornbrod knows I grew up in the U.S, Navy and in Subic Bay, we pride ourselves on adapting and making things works.
  16. Excellent and cost effective idea!
  17. Out where I live that is not that extreme of an example, we have a lot of gravel trucks, and I crack a windshield about once a year. The thing is my insurance just covers it, even though I got the license number of a big rig gravel truck that threw out the rock my insurance wasn't interested in the plate number. They told me that there really isn't any way to prove that the rock came from that particular vehicle, so I just put in a claim and every year I get a new windshield.
  18. There are a few great writeups about interior light upgrades here is the link to one http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3490 As far as the Mirrors I have read about some folks using the 97-01's alleging they are better but I will defer that and the frame rot issues to others here way more knowledgeable than I am.
  19. Wow it's like a time warp back to the eightees with a few 21 centrury electronics added. Very nice truck! I once owned back in 87 an 88 Nissan hardbody with a similar carpet kit arrangement (yes the memories). If you decide to sell that truck I doubt you will have any problems finding a buyer for a rust free piece of Jeep history.
  20. If someone buys the fifty I would be interested in getting one. Wasn't the retail price something like $330?
  21. Wow that's great, we made out with about $3K back but not likely to goto my Jeep fund
  22. That's a fairly nice looking J10, I wish the wife and CFO would let me...naaa never mind.
  23. It is this one http://www.teamgrandwagoneer.com/parts/ ... /1384.html Yes it is expensive 59 bucks because it gives you the interior as well. I didn't have to remove anything used a screw driver gently and off the old one came.
  24. I just replaced mine from www.teamcherokee.com
