Shane, it sounds like your passenger window "regulator" is not working properly. Open up the door skin and check it out, it sounds like the PO may have put in the 2X4 fix to keep the window from going all the to the bottom and not being able to roll it up. The junkyard is the cheapest place to get one or teamcherokee has them new for $155. For a little more you can buy a "power" window kit. Don (Hornbrod) posted a link to it in another post. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... hp?t=10873

Wow! $155/ea for a manual regulator? Dayem, it's cheaper to put in new power window regulators and switches. Checki it out $250 for the motorized regulator  http://www.teamgrandwagoneer.com/parts/ ... more2.html -

Same thing happened to mine, I didn't want to spend $155 at Teamcherokee so I went with he JY special for $60. I put it in over the 4th of July holliday, an extra pair of hands will be very helpful. If your glass is scratched this might be a good time to put a new one in. -
It's a feature in Norton Security in the privacy settings. I think you can also in your IE goto tools - internet options - privacy - advanced - overide - then click "prompt". At the very least you will prompted that the site wants to write a cookei and get the name of the cookie then delete it and vote again.

I am good for a few, God I love the "disable cookies" option :brows:

Nice find! I wish I had the $$

Thanks WahooSteeler, Yep it's the quadratec special, it was between that or an overhead console. My first choice was the 1994 GC for the extra map lights, temp and direction, but I kept banging my head on it so I splurged for the quadratec one. The overhead console cost-wise is the way to go unless you have the same problem I had.

Thanks Superwade, Actually I owe Don for helping me with the 97-01 grille idea on my 1991. I have a great affinity for chrome as all my father's and Uncle's 60's and 70's muscle cars had chrome and I couldn't fathom putting anything but chrome on a 1969 Chevelle 396, Chevy Nova, Ford Mustang ETC. Don I have heard from my Uncle's that this place http://www.mmmetalizing.com/services.html might be able to help you with the mirrors, and in my opinion the new mirrors are great replacemements to my stock "adjustables". Miy old stock adjustables are in excellent shape and worked well but the adjustable positions they offered weren't very usefull. These new mirrors do not adjust but they are fixed in postions that are very usefull.

Got the new mirrors and drivers side window balast/regulator replaced. All in all a great weekend! My drivers side window will now roll down all the way and roll back up. I am not gifted with being mechanically talented and I have to say the window balast/regulator was a pain to install and get working.

I guess I will try the regulator and mirrors this weekend, from previous experience there is no way I will go out and try to wheel or boat anywhere on 4th of July weekend. Lots of crazies and drunkies on the trail and on the water out here. Have a safe and sane 4th everyone.

So just curious what projects folks might be doing this 4th of July weekend. I have several to ponder: 1) 97-01 grill on a 1991 MJ (I bought the 86-90 upper and lower trim pieces in the hopes of accomplishing this) special thanks to Don for the idea (Hornbrod) 2) 1999+ intake manifold 3) 1997+ mirror upgrades 4) Replacing my drivers side door regulator I plan on flying our flag high this weekend and doing some BBQ'ing, but my wife and CFO says I have to have my ride running by work time Monday  I am also pondering buying a homelink maybe perhaps a lighted vanity mirror model from a grand cherokee to work on the MJ ;)

Looks like someone is selling Jeep 2500 tail lights. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-Che ... 0235335987 I am wondering if the fab work is too involved, but I do like the front end. (what can I say I also like the XJ wagoneer front end).

Don, The only way I fished in the PI and Guam was to look at the fish in the eye when I speared 'em with my Hawaiian sling. The Lapu Lapu (grouper) was one of the tastiest fish I have ever had. :D LOL. Lapu Lapu - that brings back memories. I used to go TDY to Diego Garcia out in the Indian Ocean a lot while in the PI. I'd bring a crew on Filipino workes and we'd stay sometimes 2-3 months working comms jobs. This was some of the best fishing in the world. My job was to keep the crew supplied with fresh fish. :D Dayem, best job I ever had. :D We regularly caught 300+ pound lapu lapu from the reef in the 14' Boston Whalers the Navy had there using 500# s/s braided line on a hand rig tied to the bow. We used small live 20 lb. groupers for bait. Some of the stuff we hooked there we had to cut the line so we didn't swamp the boat. The bonefish in the lagoons went up to 25# and we caught them wading in the flats on light tackle. Talk about fun.......... Good eatin' those were the days Don, I wish more folks could have seen that fishin'.

D44 crown vic disk problems
jeepdoggydogB replied to MWinland's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have a similar issue right now with my MJ D44, I kept losing my passenger side axle seal and bearing. The problem is that my passenger side axle is bent and instead of buying a new one we put it under a press and straightened it for now no bearing issues and small leakage. I still have the drum setup and it ruined a few drums due to leakage. I am hoping that your axle housing isn't warped.....since both sides are leaking. -
That is exactly what folks are doing to some of our fleet trucks, I guess I will be keeping my spare gas tank in case such a days comes for me. Cameras work great until thiefs figure out you have them. Now a lot of our crimes have folks with hoods and masks so you can't ID them.

14-15 MPG doesn't seem to matter City or Highway anymore. 31 Cooper STT's and 3.73 with a 5 speed. One of my front calipers does tend to stick and I will be replacing it when the front pads need replacing.

You mean this one Jeepdoggy? http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/car/708738550.html It's still on The LA craigslist, so he was probably flagged for advertising outside his area. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/car/717650860.html Don, Yes that's the one! I didn't know they were so quick to flag out of area ads. We'll see what the final price comes to...

In the SFBay Craigslist his add was "flagged for removal",. So which one of us "flagged" him? :clapping:

Haha Great adventure! You are a great uncle and that memory will never be forgotten by your nephews. Out this way on the coast our great fish stories are about sturgeon!

Pete, Eagle was there really a "Street Edition" Co
jeepdoggydogB replied to jeepdoggydogB's topic in The Pub
Iit's hard to imagine it being "fake" and back in 87 custom mini trucks lowered or what not were very popular. For that price with a little haggling i'd pick it up but then again the wife might not appreicate it much.
