  1. Please. email me at jeepmurphy@yahoo.com Thanks I need a solid hose and box.........my hose is rotten and box is out of square.
  2. I've owned 30+ AKs at one time........down to my one 'tool' now....... Bad choice of personal protection for travel. FL concealed carry permit covers all legal weapons and you'd be OK in FL but not in SC or GA and it doesn't sound like you have a FL permit.
  3. Throttle position sensor or vacuum leak..........?
  4. http://www.hansonoffroad.com/proddetail ... d=MJ4002-P That can be rated no more than 200/2000 Nothing more than a bumper hitch. Nice though.
  5. I bought some Revines off a guy in Atlanta last week.........chit chat....... I was telling him that I was looking for a tow dolly to chase after XJs and he warned me about an incident that happened to him years ago as he was doing the same. He was turning left across traffic while in a decline, towing a XJ with an XJ on a dolly, he could not come to a complete stop as the weight of the XJ behind him forced him into oncoming traffic and caused him to jack-knife in the oncoming lane. The weight of XJ and dolly was well within the 5k limit of the class three but exceeded the braking power of the tow XJ brake/weight ratio. I told him that I was looking for a dolly with electric brakes:) This is exactly what I was taking about earlier in this thread. As for a 4-6" drop bar? If the hitch is indeed rated...........I would not worry about the drop, you'll be fine.
  6. Sound similar to what mine was doing but not as badly as yours. Changed out my 02 sensor, throttle position sensor, and temp sensor (intake) and all is well now.

  8. http://oljeep.com/JeepEngines.pdf 4.0 and 2.5 are covered here......good info.

  10. What header are you using on your 2.5?
  11. Is the ground wire connected to the switch? Mine was separate from the main harness connector.
  12. I've given it thought too...........need to get to cool air though. Expensive too.
  13. That contradicts your previous comment about it being loose.
  14. Your DS is bad. The rubber the WAS compressed between the two tubes is now hard and has shrunk in size and is no longer keeping the two tubes centered, this is why it is out of balance. Eventually the two tubes will spin out from each other. Heating it will only destroy what is left of the rubber. The steel will not shrink around the rubber when heated and cooled. Heat expands metal. The only thing you will do is melt the rubber and destroy the tinsel strength of the steel by cooling it too rapidly as you stated. Mine was in the same condition and I had a new one built for a different reason but I had no idea how bad it was until I got the new one installed. You ignored my comment and went on to talk about heating and cooling.............to each his own........but big mistake.
  15. Not a good idea!
  16. Yeah I wondered who would pick up on that? :) I have nothing to do with the place............was just looking for a brick wall as a backdrop with it didn't work out so well.
  17. Image Not Found I'm staying at stock height myself. Mine is a DD and work truck. Need to get around these mountains in the ice and snow. Along with steep gravel driveways, particularly pulling a trailer.

    Got Wood?

  19. That DS is a POS.......get a new one made and never look back.
  20. What axle is it? If it had the tow package it may have LSD. If it had the 'street' trim package it may have the LSD. If it was special ordered it may have the LSD. Dana will have a double letter in the BOM on the right axle tube....ie......KK May have a tag that states to use LSD lube only on the cover. Pull the rear cover and inspect.......carriers look different.
  21. 1J4FN78L1KL524191 Someone in another thread posted all the vehicle info from a VIN. How'd you do that?
  22. A drive line shop. Or call a couple of transmission shops and ask who they use.
  23. Denso! the others are POS. Denso is an original equipment supplier and cost no more than Bosch or others. Yes BW is a good brand too.
  24. Years ago I lost an engine due to loss of oil pressure. Temp and oil pressure gauges are important. I had a Dodge with a slant6 who's oil pressure sender broke and I lost all oil in about a 1/2 mile.........had I paid attention....... Really has nothing to do with confidence. Now that I have a 5 speed vs the 4.0 with auto I suspect the heat created in the auto-trans contributes to the 4.0s running hot. I noticed that the temp will rise during a long haul up grade on the mountains round here. My next 4.0 keeper will likely get a trans cooler........and maybe a temp gauge.
  25. XJs at the junk yard should be plentiful.
