  1. You must be rich.......I can't afford 23.5 gallons of gas......lol.
  2. http://comancheclub.com/topic/43075-rear-spring-help-please/ NAPA beats Moog.........hands down. Image Not Found
  3. Here is an 86, note the alt location and the preformed rad hoses.......and the compressor location.
  4. Mine is an 88. Just a guess...... Since you have the hood prop rod across the radiator support, you may have an 87 with what was left of 86 parts, that may be why the AC compressor is in an odd spot.
  5. Just saw your other thread. Does not look like you have AC and the upper rad hose is wrong and the one to the intake is kinked......and wrong.
  6. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=17613&cc=1181472 http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=2141972&cc=1181472 NAPA Premium on the rotor and cap, I would not buy their wires again though. I have had good luck with the Motorcraft plugs, ran a set in my Ranger for 7 years and one set in the Comanche now for 2 years. Also, on the wires......you have AC.......number 1 plug wire needs to be a 90 degree boot at the plug, most wires are now with all straight boots. The rad hose will press the boot against the AC compressor and arc out, thats what happened with my NAPA set. I had them warranty the set.....have a new set here......but I saved the old set and put them back on. I'd like a set of Taylor but the $80 price tag is a set back. I'll look for a good set for an 8cyl and make my own.......will get two sets that way.
  7. My mother has a 2002 Liberty, I measured the rear axle (WMS) about a year and a half ago when I did brakes on it, I remember it being too wide. I've scoured the net for some proof, all kinds of numbers out there........I need to measure again........ But here-
  8. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Back to the drawing board on the CAI, I put it together before I installed the ZJ pump.
  9. Run your own wire to the fuse block. Apparently you are demanding that something that does not work must work because some wire schematic says so. Move on with a new plan.
  10. JKs are 65" WMS IIRC.........at any rate they are way too wide.
  11. You need to find an accessory wire, any wire that is on in the run and accessory position, tap into that wire for your red to radio wire. Any constant wire to yellow radio wire will keep your memory. Head units draw very little current, amps are another matter all together. Check your fuses and a test light will become your best friend.
  12. My wife's 97 also has a diesel sound at idle. I runs too well, get too good of mileage (23-24), runs too cool, runs too strong.....for me to even think about tearing into it. Even with 240K miles. As to the Chrysler logo......89 is when Chrysler began using their own parts ( believe this to be true), I had an 89 with mixed parts.....what year is yours? As to the leak....have your head decked when you rebuild, may be warped and not compressed against the block.

  14. Not much to say about it........ My wife took my name, had she not, I would have found another wife.

  16. I revised my CAI and I have a ZJ pump waiting, will post pics when done. We need a 2.5 gathering spot. Today I replaced my RMS, tomorrow a new clutch and newer trans.
  17. Standard is the brand name. NAPA sells Standard, Elchin, and Denso........that I know of. I have had ZERO luck with BWD, they COMPLETELY suck.
  18. Wow.....just read this....... Sorry, and hope you get better soon.
  19. The 8.25 is the only logical choice. Everything else out there is becoming difficult to find.....bolt pattern.....WMS width......etc........ And if you have a 2WD your choices are limitless as the 8.25 is plentiful and a dime a dozen. I looked for months until I found one to suit my needs, and ultimately I chose not to put a penny into my D35......you cannot give one away.
  20. After giving is some thought, I decided to replace the bushings. I was concerned about the 2"+ of hight that might be gained by new springs, I just bought new Bilstiens and did not what to lose any stroke on the rears, they are a little on the short side. Wow!!!!!!!! just Wow! The most significant improvement I've made yet. After installing the rear sway bar and Bilstiens the suspension and handling improved yet not quite right. I had no idea that that bad bushings and shackles could have such a negative effect. Sway bar and shock have now come to life, axle is centered and not one bit of slosh in the steering. I went with NAPA Suspension parts, $91 with tax, and the JKS shackles are the $#!&. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found
  21. Thank you. For those who have done the 8.25 swap, are the Ujoints that same or will I need to get one to adapt? What about the brake line to the block, I'll need to replace it, any one in particular? Off to find disc brakes now..........
  22. I've been looking for replacement for my D35. I've looked at Ford 9", Chrysler 8.75, AMC 20, and everything in between. I got a lead on a 8.5 last week, the seller said that it was 4.10 and open........just a run of the mill XJ axle......I told him I would call next week. Seller called me back last night and told me to come and get it, little more than 150 miles away and I was not all that anxious. But he swore it was 4.10......so I figured, why not? Couple of questions- I assume I can trust the 4.10 stamp? Is this a stock gear or would anyone be able to tell? Not and open differential, is this a Chrysler limited slip? or other? I offered $100 and he took it. When I got home I looked up the Rockcrusher cover, one listed on ebay for $115 and I find that they are no longer available but they did sell for $140. So, I suspect the cover alone is worth the $100 I paid. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found
