  1. Anybody know how to prevent the MJ from belching gas when filling it. I bought my MJ new in 87 and it has always belched gas when it reaches a full tank. If you listen to it when filling you can catch it before it belches. I am getting much older now and my hearing is failing ergo I don't stop before the belch.
  2. Check out the shipping size on Ebay auctions. Some vendors will list a size. http://ecat.spectrapremium.com/a/000061710 Spectra says the 18 gal tank is 29 3/4 in. x 17 1/4 in. x 13 5/8 in. Their 23.5 tank is 29 3/4 in. x 17 1/4 in. x 13 5/8 in. The bigger tank needs 3 straps to hold it, the smaller tank uses 2 straps. If you have a long bed (you do) the bigger tank just slips right in - the factory did it and so can you. Actually the 23.5 gal tank is 36-1/2" x 17-1/4" x 13-5/8 it is 6 3/4" longer which is why it uses Three straps. DT
  3. No not rich, I own three jeeps and a land rover (weak moment). I want to be ready next time Food City puts gas on for $.30 a gallon off. Thanks for the responses. DT
  4. I have a 87 Long Bed with the 18 gallon fuel tank. I want to swap it out with a 23.5 gal tank. Can I use the 18 gal fuel pump and fuel gauge sending unit? Is there anything else I need? DT
