random Comanches found on the internet...
Kenosha Warrior replied to ComancheKid45's topic in The Pub
TRUGGY TIME! -
the novelty of mine has worn off, its being swapped into a Cherokee, whose 4.0L/BA-10/231 and axles are heading into the MJ. its a good motor for a DD, past that. Accel power is near the topend of each gear, top with the AX-4 is around 130km/h and at that speed, pray for a soft landing as its squirrley to hand;le

general area of the spots on the ground weep hole on rad? is the fluid running down the lower rad hose? Is it the heater core pissing it? thermostat housing? Check those before jumping to the cracked head idea. Ignore this post. Didn't read the link hah. Clear off the head and start looking with a magnifying glass is all I can say.

Towing a MJ with a MJ??
Kenosha Warrior replied to Rokhound's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Fawk the J20... get a waggy or a Chero. That way.. when you come home with a totalled MJ and the words EXO-CAGE escape your lips.. you'll have a place to sleep :) -
Comanche Club swag (stickers, posters, magnets :)
Kenosha Warrior replied to Pete M's topic in The Pub
GOT THE STICKERS! The entire package, thanks Pete! Nice packaging by the way. Took me 10 minutes to get it open haha. -

BA-10/5 is your tranny unless its rockin' a 2.5L then its a AX-5 get the threaded rod out of the little aluminum threaded shaft and booger weld it back to the shift tower. you should be able to swap tranny shifters from ba-10 to ba-10. Not from Ax5 to ba-10.

1987 Lincoln MK VII Rims
Kenosha Warrior replied to SlimFisher's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Sawzall Solves all! or in this case, a die grinder works too. -
I set a speed record with my MJ for myself and then drank about 3 litres of green beer. now I'm at work and wearing the darkest sungrlasses I can, regretting every drop. the joys of being 17

Took my MJ out to a long, flat paved road yesterday. Its a completely stock '89 4cy 4spd. Started out gradually (the road is20km of no exits.. just farmland) I hit 178kph before I backed down. The motor wasn't even screaming that much, had a good bit of headroom left. I have no tach but the rpm's were sounding on the upside of 4k. The motor will roll 300 thousand within the next few days. Best money I ever spent, Id love to see a Ford with 300 thou do this. Ill get a pic of the GPS unit telling me my speed, along with the little speedo almost pegged around

If i was closer, that would go missing pretty fast :P

I found a 4.56 rearend from a Cherokee. $200 D35. I may pick it up and burn it to the MJ (4spd 2x4, 4cyl) to get some better umph

My new Comanche Project.
Kenosha Warrior replied to comancheon33's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
How many MJs do you have!? I see two beige ones in one of those pics. nice Elky btw. -
Ive worked with these guys before. I let nobody touch my rig. Nobody except these guys. One is a former Jeep mechanic from back when they were still AMC vehicles (like waaay back) the owner of the shop owns a couple'a FSJ's and a '88 XJ which is his DD. If they didn't have other cars on the pavement, Id swear its a jeep-only shop. They will install lift kits for you too. labour is $55/hr cdn, which is reeely good.Ill post pics of what happened when I get down there tomorrow. Its a reputable shop, and I'm so bogged down that I can't take time to change it. I know they won't take the rad out to do it. I already told Daniel that there's no way in christ you can dissasemble the front clip anyway... its mostly JB welded together. I get it back tomorrow afternoon. Walking is doing me good though, prefect time for this to happen, really. March break, no school. nothing to do and the weather is beau-ti-ful. and the plus is it'll cost me maybe $125-130 which is a good chunk but not that excessive.

Yet another stooopid thing. Went pick'n'pulling today. Covered maybe a good 100+ km's. To about 10 different yards, looking for 305 chev and jeep parts. Got home and I stepped out of the heep and right into antifreeze. Odd. Pop the hood and W.T.F. Pissing Prestone all over the damn place. I thought it blew a hose, but it was pouring out from the water pump pulley. GREAT! After the first 3 yards, I heard a small squeeking, like a bearing gone bad. Thought nothing of it, my idler has a bad bearing. I drove 75+kms with a screaming water pump bearing at an average speed of 100kph. Ive got no time fo the next month to do anything, first day off in a while. So its off to the shop for the pump. I wish I could do it here, but its first car into the shop tomorrow morning at 8am, so I should have it back tomorrow or thursday.

Mine should have came courtesy of a garbage night scavenger hunt and finding an old fridge :D Can you say enamel floors! (I can't, it was being a weiner when we tried to cut it apart to patch the floor so I just used sheet metal

I was cooking my dinner, nukerizing some porkchops and potatoes while watching TV. Pop the plate in the nuker just as the dodge avenger commercial comes on. Sweet looking car. Sweet-@$$ looking car. I left my fork on the plate for 30 sec at 1400 watts  THEN I don't realize it and grab the nicely superheated fork. but the new Avenger sure looks like hot $#!& Sunday sleep-deprivation ahah, 6am work time..

better than my friend's '85 Impala. a bright pink foot tall dildo superglued to his bumper. was about 3" in girth. he was a classy guy.

My 2.5L MJ is a slight hog, but an O2 and a nice tune up come spring (dizzy cap, plugs, oil change and o2) I should be running nice again.

hear me out on this
Kenosha Warrior replied to s10eater's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
in my previous comanche i toasted 2 D35s in a span of 6 months with the stock 4.0L I-6. along with one of those misfortunes the peugot tranny went too. so would all of you guys agree that i should look in the direction of a "tru-trac" who makes it? Detroit. -
sshhh. Hide it from him or He'll want to drive it when its finished! :brows: My dad wants to drive my MJ all the time haha. Nice find though.
