what about lincoln rims? I can get a 5-lug set for free, the turbine looking ones. Any idea what they are/? I think they are 5 on 4.5 or around there

christ.. no need to worry about what was in there. it was literally bone f*ckin' dry. Took close to an entire bottle of 80w90 and the fill plug was in by 2 threads, I undid it with my fingers. so hopefully this is where my leak is from

a bottle of 80w90 gear oil (bought it at the local Heep dealer, open sundays.) for $3 for a jug of 1L. I can't care for synth. everthing else is dino anyway. reminds me, need to swap lube in my trans.

oh yes, I'm going to. I'm just going to get a good supply of diff oil and keep topping it up. I called the shop I use and they said they could squeeze me in Friday and I could get the truck back Saturday, yet I'm going to my girlfriend's for a big BBQ saturday

how do you get the fill plug off? just a 3/4 drive ratchet? I'm at work and haven't tackled it yet.

my diff is leaking fluid from the (this seems weird to me, as its not logical) the pinion. Right at the yoke, its leaking down and running down the underside of my diff. I lost maybe a shotglass worth of fluid lastnight. Obviously this requires a seal, bit I can't exactly replace that myself. so my question is. What kind of fluid does a D35 in a 1989 MJ require?

tks 87Manche. Ive yet to go pay for it, still haggling with the old man over driveway space. They're pretty good. This one is in half-decent shape.

Looking at a 1991 Ford Escort. 4dr. 1.9L 5spd. $200 needs the strut towers welded back up due to rust and can use some brakes. The rest is in good damn shape. It will be replacing the MJ so I can go nuts on it without worrying about not having a dialy driver. The MJ will hit the jackstands again with a clutch/slave cyl/Timing Chain/maybe new bearings or a new cam. Keep it running nice. And Bodywork too. Bring the body back to a nice glory.
