  1. think it was 280 shipped for everything, not to bad IMO. the fact that the mixup wasnt even their fault and they dove into the problem and went above and beyond for a solution just like it was their fault was outstanding. i was told this was a 2000 xj motor, then figured it to be a 99 due to the injector style and lack of coil packs. overall they were more excited to get as many pictures as i could for them of the current setup for whatever reason.
  2. i don't see why anybody would get stressed out over post's from this site or any other site, it the stinkin internet. sounds like rob is bored
  3. ordered brown dog super header bractets and mounts, driver side was awfully close just one bolt hole wasnt drilled or tapped in the block, passanger side was way off. so i said forget it and just put the mounts on. emailed them that night and in the am i had a reply and wanting more info/pictures to figure out what i had. turns out my motor is out of a late 98 to early 99 wj and the mounting is different, they have only made 3 other bracket sets for my application. any ways long story short i am very pleased with how above and beyond their customer service is. karol took my motor casting number, figured what is was out of, and already has the staff making the custom plates i need. they are shipping out the custom new brackets and meteric hardware as soon as they are done friday and not charging me extra even tho these are a bit more and not even in their catalog. now thats the kind of customer service that makes return business.
  4. i think a better example would be a nice set DD's
  5. i just made a pretty basic set to, plan on adding some tubing down the road for a bit more protection and better aestetics. when i do my rear bumper i want to trim behind the tire a bit then add protection so its not hanging down so far.

  11. i like thoes bed rails
  12. 1995 22 gal in front, 1998 begind it. 98 looks like it might require a bit of work for the filler neck to clear the unibody. the 95 is a bit taller but the filler neck should be fine, plus the corner by the rear axle is somewhat clearanced.
  13. is it cold out when it happens? maybe the thermostat opening?

    so-so welds

one of these years I'm going to tear down this garage that is more like a wood shed and build a real shop. ill have 220v power, concrete floor and a roof that won't leak, then ill get set up for making things nice. it would definatley help the motovation. i have the temp all the way up (10) and the wire speed is at 40 (less than half) any less and it just makes a bright light then clogs the tip. ive recently started moving faster and thats helped alot, might have to try going faster yet and see what happens. here in the next month or 2 work is going to be giving me alot of welding project (mostly stick) and my 2 bosses are badass welders so ill be getting all tuned up

    so-so welds

thanks, andi hope you talking about gaps ;)
  22. d44 front/rear for 31-33" tires? a bit overkill for the 31" and not being a hardcore wheeler  you thought about just swapping the header panel/fenders and doors over? not a complete 97+ but gives it a good update thats pretty easy. and i believe the edge trail jammer's module is only for 97+ (just an fyi if you didnt know)

    so-so welds

I'm getting ready to start fabbing up a bumper in the future so ive been playing around with my welder. it's only a 110v, going to need to go to my works shop and use their millermatic when the time comes. but I'm getting to the point where I'm not embarrased to say i did that :) getting a portaband tomorrow, thatll get my small pieces cut, working on finding a milwaukee hog saw, or i might have to borrow works. drifted kinda far away in a few spots so it ugly, seemed like the gas was acting up too. thick metal for my little miller getting there cutoff and re-welded the end of my kevin offroad steering box brace (messed up from the factory) my weld, untouched up just painted their weld, holy BLOB. not too impressed
  24. dunno if its been put up or not, id drive it  rear tires need to be spaced out tho
