  1. Doing an update on this its been a while since I have posted anything. Have been working on narrowing a early Ford hi pinion Dana 44 for the front of my jeep. Dana 44 engine bay Built some fenders Out wheeling
  2. Yes I am but a little farther north. Post Falls also.
  3. Have been wheeling a few times hers a few pics of it. Mandatory flex shot Me standing by it it runs great and I'm very happy with how it performs
  4. Finally got some time to work on this project some more. Built some custom fuel line fittings Got the fuel lines all ran Got the clutch all hooked up with a stainless line Will be building a snorkle for this since i have to do a custom intake anyways. The start of the snorkle My inline air filter for the snorkle I couldnt figure out how to get rid of both the tranny computer and the ecm so i ordered a complete Painless Wiring harness
  5. This is the bumper i built for it.
  6. Got some more done on the radiator hoses. I had to modify the thermostat housing and put the inlet on the opposite side. modified thermostat housing thermostat housing installed lower radiator hose I'm working on the heater hoses next and will post pics when they are done.
  7. The aftermarket track bar i had on there was bent is the only reason i went with another bent one, although when i built it i bent it out of 1"OD 1/4" wall tubing so if i have a problem I will have to go stronger with chromoly tubing. and the track bar mount when i built the new track bar the frame mount i dropped it down so i can run a drop pitman arm and not get bumpsteer
  8. Power wise theres not as much choice for aftermarket support but weight wise the 4bt is a much heavier motor which i don't feel the dana 30 front axle and the unibody chassis design can support.
  9. Got some of the plumbing done Power steering hoses Upper radiator hose
  10. Well the few advantages i liked of this diesel was the overall size is very comparable to the 6cyl. They are know for running forever and parts availability is good because there are a ton of these old cars sitting in junk yards because no one really wants an old luxury car. And its a fully mechanical motor with no computers.
  11. Havent got too much done lately have been busy with other projects and work but did get a new track bar made to clear the oil pan. I'm trying to figure out how carried away i want to get with the wiring as far as trying to rewire everything or just use a stock harness and make the thing run. New pitman arm is in the mail on the way to give me some more clearance for the oil pan. New track bar installed
  12. Passenger side mount Passenger side mount Motor bolted in
  13. Yes the HO is harder to find but i havent had the best luck with the 4.0s since this 4.0 i took out isnt the original motor. And after the fuse block shorted out and caught fire i had to replace the whole underhood wiring harness i figured just tear it down and try something different.
  14. Yes it is his adapter kit he makes as well as the oil pan although i wish i would have done my own oil pan. Something different and i like diesels. Just throughout the build keep in mind I'm only 19 and doing the entire swap and fabrication entirely by myself.
  15. Well i started one with some pictures i had taken along the way. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=32798
