  1. Depends on what year motor, 97+ have them and 96- don't Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  2. Probably unrelated but I just rewired my 97+ and was having issues with the passage window not working and the taillights not working when parking was in. Went thru a whole list of fsm troubleshooting procedures and it ended up being I temporarily threw the dash in to route wires and didn't tighten it down. Apparently the dash bolts on the a pillar act as a ground, perhaps check that then dig into a fsm and start checking continuity Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks, I'm all good. They gave me some good pain pills that I'm saving for later since Tylenol is good enough for this. Today i got the top layer of stiches removed and supposedly the nurse thinks they used some decomposing ones deeper down, even tho when i asked the doc if we could do stiches like that so i wouldnt come back he said no way. I Was going to pass on hunting season this year and take a shutdown job instead. This happened 2 days before i was suppose to go to work and understandably they said it was a liability issue when i sent my boss the pic saying I'll be a gimp for a few days. So no deer camp and no shutdown, but I've managed to fix a few things on the jeep. I have a adventure medical kit, and grabbed a gauze pack from there and was less than thrilled by the miniature size compared to the package and how thin it was after I've been using what the hospital gave me. So, where does one buy quality gauze pads etc and how do I know if it's actually up to the task and not a novelty when buying online? I did use a few bandaids from my kit and they held up pretty good overnight. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  4. I have a cheap kit that I keep at home but after an outing in the quad 2 weeks ago I guess I should invest in a good kit for all my vehicles. Looking for a real kit yet something compact, not just bandaids and asprin. Flipped my quad and it landed on my leg. Used my belt as a crummy tourniquet til I got back to the truck. Ended up with 14 stich lol so, does anybody have some insight on what makes a good kit? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  5. After 8 years I finally replaced the clock spring. Now I have cruise control and no more intermittent crappy idle, at least on my 200 mile trip today. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  6. Sorry, I just read titles and last post's. Nobody cares about your stickers Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  7. You have nothing under your rockers Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  8. Looks good man! Have you thought of putting on some smoked marker lights up front? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  9. Are they metal or platic? Looks good, kinda like the oem overland rails Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  10. Love my Sony a6000 Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  11. This is for 97+ swaps since the fuel Guage reads opposite. Clearance is fine Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  12. I would but I deleted my thread so this is wha you get lol Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

  15. Your going to regret all that fatmat...... I'd take it off now before it melts and is a motor messy pain. I spent over a week removing all mine that I put in. Goof off from home homedepot worked best. Coat of a few times a day and let it sit at least a day before attempting, then it mostly comes off in sheets (obviously do that when the aluminium is off). Norico or something I got off amazon worked better and is butyl based not asphalt like fat mat. Also, look up sound deadender showdown and he describes you only need about 25% coverage on the panel your trying to quite. All it does is change the resonace, not block sound or heat. I just gutted mine and the oem firewall pad does wonders. I never had one and have gone from 100% fatmat, to some norico, then mass loaded vinyl. The firewall pad did the most. I'm still combating bad hear from the tray tunnel and am looking into some good jute felt. Sorry, all that fatmat just brought back a bad memory lol Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  16. Any idea how clean the block and radiator are? I picked up some thermocure and just flushed mine. 1) I wish my license wasn't suspend so I could more than let it idle and risk a few laps around the block 2) I should have left it in a few days but I leave for a job outta town tomorrow and was anxious. Anyways, this is what my first flush looked like. Supposedly it dissolves rust and corrosion and the byproduct is a block soot. I need to seal up my homemade shroud but so far my temps have dropped, other than idling for about an hour, then it wants to creep past 210. If you do try this stuff, when you do the 2 flushes before filling with coolant drive ot, don't be like me and mostly idle. The longer you leave it in the better it works from what I gather. I forgot the link but some classic car restorer has his customers drive up to 6 weeks with this in the system for really neglected rigs. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  17. That's come quite aways since you started. Doing the floor plans suck. In case you didn't know, the unibody rails are galvanized. I used rust bullet on top.and bottom of mine 5 or 6 years ago and they still look new. Spendy paint but 10 year guarantee to corrosion resistance Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  18. Wiring and interior are finally back together. The new front speakers are ok, returned the rear 4x6 kappa's since I was hoping for a little bass. Once I get back from my next job I'm looking at adding a 10" sub since apparently my hopes of the 6.5" speakers didn't pan out to what I was thinking. I miss my old steering wheel, put this junker in to see if my clock spring is broke and that's why no horn or cruise control Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  19. Disconnecting your sway bar will really let the suspension articulate. Also if you didn't know, airing down on the trail will improve traction, puncture resistance and smooth out some bumps. My infinity speakers show up today, kappa 4x6 for the rear and some 6.5 components up front. Might send the 4x6 back for a sub but I got a good deal on them so well see Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  20. Because xj stuff doesnt work for me. Xj fan on Dakota fanclutch. I'm running a wj motor, been wanting to get away from the tripple electric fans Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  21. Got a good start on the shroud. Used a chunk of xj hood that's been in my way Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  22. Finally finished up the complete re-rewire. Got the taillight harness working correct and after tryimg the weather proof connectors without the right crimper I had to order a set same day from amazon. Keyless entry works now and on weds the infinity 6.5 component speakers and rear 4x6 infinity kappa show up so I can get it put back together and get to working in the fan/shroud setup Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  23. Much cleaner than my temporary treated 4x4 that's been there for at least 5 years now. Since you "dented" it, any shots of how far it sits below the unibody? That's my biggest complaint since I haven't done a skid yet
  24. A quick good search will reveal replacement mj fuel tanks. Xj are shaped different and have different fuel pickups. For the filler itself that shouldn't be hard to find one that will work by browsing a junkyard once you get your tank and hoses. Now if you literally don't have a fuel tank/sender/pump that'll make it a bit more difficult. I think I saw on here a while back someone found a guy making new senders but I could be wrong Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk Edit, I see you said filter not filler. I thought mjs had in line filters? A quick search would answer that to I bet
  25. Sounds similar to mine. New coolant, burped a few times, new cap, thermostat, some snake oil to help it cool more effiecently. Mine gets a bit over 210 on the dash and a temp gun to the head says that's about 220 going up grades and more recently when I was in Idaho in 80* weather on the fwy put an end to my moab trip since I couldn't even crawl there. I figure part if my issue is the 3 electric fans, so I'm in the process of going to mechanical yet I have a 99 wj motor that has a different fan clutch right of the crank, and I have to male a new shroud. Hopefully you grt it figured out and I'll be watching this for reference. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
