power steering pitman and reservoir questions
cody4359 replied to mjtjnj's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
dude if i was embarassed about that pic i wouldnt have posted it at the start of my build thread :rotfl2: i have no problem admiting when i do dumb things or make mistakes, and i can handle being laughed at and not act like a teenage girl when it happens. as far as the garage, its down the road. i happened to pay for both of these instead of building a shop. oh, i didnt buy a spare tire winch from you. havent bought one at all, so it seems you can't figure out how to tighten a nut or rember who you sold junk to. seems like your little fealings got hurt by being laughed at. and now your trying to dig up stuff the I have posted to embarass me, how pitiful..... but funny. dig a little deeper and see what else you can find  hell here's my photo bucket account to help you -

 here to help. seriously glad somebody told you how to tighten a nut, it would be horrible for a person like you to be stumped trying to figure it out. good thing you have the interweb :rotf: -
power steering pitman and reservoir questions
cody4359 replied to mjtjnj's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
lol you ask a dumb question so youll get a dumb answer. my spelling sucks, but i make alot of money using my common sense. ill take that over spelling anyday. hookd on phonix didnit wurk fer me! -
lol that wasnt me being worked up. i just say what i think. apparentley you get a board warning issued for pointing out that most americans are dumb, and certain southern states don't allow fog lights on a seperate switch but breed with their cousins
-
our country protects to stupid and lazy way too much. i see which catagory your with. if that cop didnt have his brights on he wouldnt of gotten my brights plus fogs. the way i see it, if your lights make it so i can't see, ill return the favor.

Support bracket access?
cody4359 replied to Thunderbear's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i just took the steering box off to get to the back of that bracket..... -
a few times i was headed to work at 430 in the morning, oncoming vehicle had their brights on, so i flashed them. no go, so i gave them my highs, still no go, so then i flipped on my fog lights that i had pointed about eye level for oncoming traffic like that...... he didnt dim his lights but flicked on the red and blues for a sec lol happend 3 times while i was working that job, never got pulled over and fealt good for blinding him in return. i agree, its not our "goverment" place to tell people what they can and can't do in and to their vehicles, such as the seatbelt law. just another way to collect $$ to efficentley waste

oh the cost of working on rigs. you could always just tighten it with a cresent wrench and have the nut fall off in the near future -

as for you resivor (or anything that you take apart) your always supose to have extra parts..... for doing it right and torque'ing the pitman arm i have thought long and hard...... perhaps the correct tools such as.............. a TORQUE WRENCH -
maybe spring rate? the RK's i have are from H3RESQ, pretty sure he was 4.5 with ACOS on top. my truck has always been a little taller than his. swapped out the RE 5.5" that came with mine and i now have 4.5" iron rock offroad coil in my mj right now with ACOS adjusted up about an inch. dunno what to tell ya, thats what the springs measured edit: just looked at his build and they are RK 6.5" coils. just figured with having ACOS and being lower than me they were 4.5", guess they have sagged a bit lol

swap questions regarding 96 or 98 xj platforms.
cody4359 replied to snyder's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i would say since you already have a wrecked 98 to do that swap. interior looks better, plus you could have power windows (assuming the 98 does). i started a 96 swap but lost interest because of making the fuel guage read correct and making a harness for power windows/lock/mirrors. there is a write up in the DIY for 97+ swap -
my RK 4.5 are 22" my RE 5.5 are 23" i would guess that they are 4.5" springs

wow..... I'm thinking brother and sister hooked up and that came out
