I'm really not to fond of the new site, and the few times i have logged on i can't seem to find the option in settings to turn off the signature option ie: pics of past/curent vehicles and every "mod" they have done.

Tesing The Poll Feature, And Asking About The Site.

i like the tapatalk feature, but thats it. -
Pete, with the old setup i could hide signatures because there is nothing more annoying than a sig. that takes up half a page with every detail of every vehicle that somebody has owned and 3 pics of each..... looked thru the settings here and could not find a way to hide that stuff. is that going to be added?

really? what rpm were you running at 60? I was running 2100 ish rpm at 70 mph with the dinky 215s and this lame 3.07. Truck pulled it no problem. Id run 80 most of the time and be 22-2300 rpm. Ill see what rpm I'm at now with the 31s and still 3.07s. So 2 inch more tire than now, and a whole point off the gears and its gonna be no good? I still want to run 70-80 as i drive on long road trips a lot. i see that you have a manual so gearing is different. with the AW4 and meteric 33" and 4.88 I'm close to 2200-2300 rpm going 60, it defintaly winds up when I'm around 70 mph, but its not a race car and doesnt really need to go much faster for the driving i do. now when i went thru nevada in the car it was on cruise at 90 because there is just nothing out there :D checkout http://www.grimmjeeper.com/gears.html for some gearing/rpm charts. awfully close to real world numbers with my experince

overkill is under rated :D i did notice today that the IRO trackbar bolt was much smaller than the Rk i pulled, just figured the PO drilled the hole out. as a quick fix i just threw it in and adjusted the axle over, almost an inch to center it from when i installed the new lift/axles  now the track bar is centered but I'm going to sleeve it seeing as i only have 1" of 7/8" rod left in the bar. driver side needs to be pushed ahead another 1/4" to be a close tape measure setup then figure out what pinion angle i need for the rubi low pinion. took it out for a spin around town, definatley doesnt handle like the GLI..... going to put the sway bar back on but atleast that clunk is gone

4.10 and 33" suck, atleast over here with city driving and a 60 mph speed limit. i know you guys have alot more fun speed limits but maybe toss around the idea of 4.56 or 4.88
-
squared up the axle (was 3/4" off) and thinik i finally found my mysteriouse clunking after i have pulled the dash, cutout/welded new filler plate for the steering shaft that was rubbing the firewall and numerouse other things... stinkin heim has a bit of play. tomorrow ill swap in the IRO double shear tackbar that i have been thinking of getting rid of

floorboard repair help
cody4359 replied to ftpiercecracker1's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
mine were pitted pretty bad so i sand blasted them to get rid of all rust. dunno if I'm right or not, but i thought about it and just figured they tied the unibody together helping strengthen it. atleast it sounded good to me. I'm sure some people will chime in and say they are unnessary, but the factory did put them there for a reason. -
What lift kits are y'all running?
cody4359 replied to Dedaw's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
just go straight to long arms. a local guy has clayton long arm upgrade for sale off his xj still i think. or if you catch me on the right day i have all the drivetrain i pulled from mine still. been thinking of using it but will probly just scrap the other mj -
At a shop I used to work at, we did the same thing with anti-seize. We'd put it everywhere! Under door handles, trunk lids, pop the hood and put a little on the safety latch, oil caps, washer fluid, on gas caps, on the backside of the shifter... EVERYWHERE! Then it turned into personal attacks. We'd be welding and the others would sneak up behind and very carefully put a little on the knob on your helmet. Grab a stick and put it way up in the finger tips of your gloves. Then there was the porn. See, we did a monthly maintenance at a garbage transfer station and you wouldn't believe how much porn gets tossed away. FREAKIN' RECYCLE IT!!! Anyhow, we'd stash away the oldest, nastiest, hairiest and biggest mustache porn we could find and hide it away for a good occasion. Then we'd roll it up and put it in the sun visors so when you've got your girl with you and the sun was out she flip down the visor and get a face full of it! I started the act of porning lunch boxes too. Take all their stuff out of their lunch box and cram a bunch way in the bottom and hope that they'd have something leak out and get it all wet. Imagine, getting home all tired and dirty and then having a bunch of soggy gentleman sausages waiting for you. HA!!! lol i always like a little anti sieze in the sweatband of the hardhat, the prussian blue is alot more permant so due to increasing pranks that doesnt get pulled out very often

i don't typically mess with people's vehicles, but a few years ago one guy parked his new hyundai suv next to my beater car so close he had to rub up aginst my car to get out, with me watching from within my car...... so at lunch i got a tube of prussian blue, and put a little under each door handle and the trunk latch. think he was just a ironworker or scaffolder so i didnt care. last year me and an apprentice were messing with eachother. he put a half retarded pigeion in the mj, so about a week later he made the mistake of leaving his (daddy's) truck unlocked, i know his dad and didnt want to do permant damage so i took 2 bottles of glitter and dumped them down the defrost vent. he then had to spend hours vaccuming it out and got a asss chewing from his dad for messing with a guys vehicle lol

for the WJ steering pump you want a 01 and later 4.7 v8 pump due to it having a hydrolic fan being run off the power steering pump increasing the pressure.

prep the metal to be welded very good, get off all paint/grease etc and make sure your ground is on a clean spot, keeps gaps to a minimum. i personally hate flux core, went from flux to .030 wire and it was a nice change. currently doing floors in the mj and was having problems with burning thru so i switched to some .023 wire, what a difference. lays a bead much smoother and controlled without burning thru nearly as bad and i can now turn the wire speed up. just picked up some .023 (easy grind) wire, twice the price as the reg stuff but my boss swears by it for doing autobody.
-
when I'm welding alone my speedglass is ok, but when I'm at the shop and another person is welding near my it autodarkens when its not supose to which is pretty annoying. one of my boss's has a millerhood without that problem and the other has an optrel which is what i want to get next. fits good, looks, good, operates good and has a grinding setting as well as auto on. http://www.fairburyfastener.com/optrel_satelite.htm

...... :waving: I was actually looking at your build thread a while ago. Beautiful truck. Not many lifted comanches around us (that I've seen) thank, its a POS in my mind lol jason and seth both have nice rigs and are close. $650 for stereo stuff  i have a mj dana 44 that i could part with that would be money better spent :D
