Brake Booster/MC Swap
offroader461 replied to summerinmaine's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i have an 87 and am trying to install a 96 booster master and XJ valve...if i buy the 96 pedal assembly and brake light switch i do not need to modify the rod to get my brake light to activate...just adapt the wiring correct...I'm trying to make this as simple for me as possible.. -
Interest in Rock Rails
offroader461 replied to Drahcir495's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i know mike personally and he told me in Dec when i got my bumper, i started to bug him to make me a set out of XJ ones and he told me they won't fit even with modifying...hed have to make a whole different setup to adapt them to tie into the bed in front of the rear wheels...he said if there is enough demand that he would think of supplying them but at the time it was unlikley....also tried talking him into fabbing me up a rear bumper/tire carrier but that sizzled out to...lemme know if he says he will do it and ill talk to him about templating my truck to get the ball rolling -

that thing looks sharp....my floors look like that...i have to replace my interior e-brake cable..its broke at the foot pedal and has been since i bought it...lol figured its about time to replace it. :brows: looks really sharp -
i am about to tackle this swap to eliminate my crappy single diaphram booster...i already have: 96 dual booster w/ Master cylinder and XJ proportioning valve and the lines that attach the M/C to the Proportioning valve for 60 bucks i am having the correct brake rod installed so it will be a direct bolt in :D 1.Now my question is reguarding the brake lines...i have the lines that run from the 96 M/C to the XJ valve still installed...can i just use those lines and just hook up my front and rear output lines to the correct ports on the XJ valve or do i need adapters to make them work??? 2. I am going to eliminate the rear adjusting valve since mine don't work...how can i get around doing this w/o replacing the entire rear line...can i just add a junction or something like that?? If anyone has a part number for anything id appreciate it...Thx
