  3. most likely a puegot BA 10/5...its an ok tranny...mine had 200K b4 it quit and my new one is 6mnths old and i run synthetic and it shifts great....
  4. if your not on a specific time frame I'm going to be lifting my MJ higher...using 3.5" coils and my ACOS then doing a SOA...i will be selling my 3in kit...coils and rear AAL if your interested
  5. i was told by my dad who works for the sheriffs dept that the bike cops are just ticket writers really...they don't do traffic control or accidents like the car cops do...they just run radar and patrol speed zones...
  6. as of right now i have been running 32" BFG's on my D35 with 3.07's for about 6mnths and was on 31's for a year prior...shouldn't have a problem unless there is already one there...I'm swapping in 4.10's and lockers front and rear soon
  7. i honestly have not had that many problems other than the usual idle thing with my renix...and the same with my poogeut...i run synthetic fluid in my trans and havent had any problems yet....well see tho...lol
  8. i run 10W-30 valvoline
  9. i don't use a gasket on mine and never had a leak ever...i just take some RTV silicone and put it on the bottom of the valve cover and on the cylinder head and bolt it back on...never a problem....i used a cork felpro gasket and it did nothing but leak...
  10. i would prefer to go SOA so i might wait on installing it when i can get the front to match...that helps out alot tho
  11. well i picked up the axle but didnt have time to install it...what is the angle that i should set my pinion at...should i point it at the t/c or just set it to what my D35 is at now?? unfortunantly i might just keep the truck SUA b/c i don't have the funds to lift the front to match right now...dunno havent decided yet...but will this make a difference in setting the angle....thx
  12. here's some poser shots of my 87MJ and Rob's 86XJ
  13. sry i forgot to spec my truck for you guys so you know what I'm working with.... it has 3" rough country coils and ACOS up front for a total of about 4" and a 3" AAL in the back already, extended skyjacker stainless brake lines...and I'm planing on going SOA will my extended brake line i already have still work or should i get the dakota one, also i was planning on using the ZJ master cylinder along with the proportioning valve...thx for all the help so far..its answering alot of my questions about this swap
  14. i am going to pick up my 8.8 this friday and plan to swap it in this weekend....what i need help on is the following... 1. Any brake modifications necessary? bigger master cylinder..different proportioning valve etc. axle will have disk brakes 2. Does it matter that the pinion is offset more than the D35...found a site that states that it is...i should just line everything up and weld away 3. How hard is it to swap it in i have read a lot of posts about it but still confused a little bit on what to do and how to do it....thx for all the help..wanna do it right the first time lol
  15. the valve core is inside the stem...there is a tool that you use like a screw driver and it just turns out...
  16. i put my highlift base on the side of the tire then jacked it up till the arm hits a heavy stationary object and it causes the base of the jack to push down on the tire and pop the bead comes off...if thats unsucessful just take them to a shop...its the easiest
  17. that seems like a bad bead seal...i worked at walmart TLE and now at discount....the easiest way to fix that is debead that side and put some bead seal on the entire bead...it will seal right up...no more leaks :D
  18. hey all i know this has been covered and ive searched but can't get a simple answer.... i got a head gasket that is leaking a little bit of oil...now i figured i will do the H.O. head, intake and TB swap..what is needed and how hard.. i know i need: -h.o. throttle body -h.o. intake manifold -h.o. head -h.o. exhaust manifold -all other neccesary pieces...what exactly?? and how hard exactly is this, is it worth it, and also how hard to splice the h.o. wiring into the renix stuff
