Damn, all of a sudden, I like pacers.

Well, since everyone else is voicing their opinions, I might as well. Guns are not the problem. Nutjobs are the problem. I don't have an answer for what to do about them. If anyone does, more power to you. You don't need assault weapons. You also don't need alchohol. I guarantee that kills more folks every single day than any assault weapon ever did. Should we outlaw that? Wait, they did. Prohibition didn't work. Illegal drugs kill more folks every single day than any assault weapon ever did. Should we outlaw those? Oh wait, they are illegal, aren't they? They are an enthusiest weapon as said above. I don't need a 500+ horsepower Shelby Mustang, but I sure do want one. How many people are killed in cars every single day? Should we outlaw them? The tragedy in Conn. was terrible. Aweful, just aweful. Nutjob killing kids. So, now we knee-jerk into action and will most likely impose some useless law that won't do sh#t. Once you outlaw assault weapons, then only outlaws will have them. Full auto weapons are already illegal. You think gang bangers don't have any? If outlawing ANYTHING worked, we wouldn't have a drug problem in the US, now would we. Rant over. Can we talk about trucks now?

Hell, my wife is the one that got me into jeeps. I always drove Mustangs and sports type cars and bikes. Still have a bike. 29 years and counting on the marriage. Also remember that when momma ain't happy, nobody's happy. ;) Congrats!

Perhaps to a point, but it would be negligible I would think For example, I have been running 31's on a 4 cyl TJ since 1998 and it still has the original clutch at 180K.

I run 31's on stock suspension. See sig pic. Only rubbing is on the lower arms at full lock. I would think 30's would fit like a glove.

Hunter, the best thing you can do is either find a 4X4 donor rig to buy or sell your 2wd and buy a 4x4. Doing this swap, you need 4x4 components as stated above. The tranny is different. You will also need to make sure your front axle is the same gear ratio as the rear axle. ?Your rear driveshaft will have to be altered or replaced. There are tons of little things you need as well. Getting a donor is the best way to do it.

For the use my trucks get, 31 is the size for me too.

I think mine has the 3.73's. It was originally a auto with the big ton package. It is now a 5 sp and goes down the highway just fine. The reason for the high gearing was the OEM trying to get the fuel mileage up.
