The weatherstripping from grand cherokee's front doors will fit and are quite a bit thicker than even the 97+ cherokee. Should be able to find the window weatherstripping from any newer model 4 door cherokee up to 96 and swap it in directly.

If you're wanting ~7" of lift do a spring over and then the chevy drop shackles which bump it up another 1-2" which should net you ~7-8".

Just got through mocking up the mounts to throw a set of zj seats in my quad cab today. The zj seats with zj brackets don't line up anywhere near the xj bolt holes. I used a couple of pieces of 2" angle and drilled to holes for the front mounts and matched up the holes for the cab floor. Then marking and drilling two new holes for the back bolt locations. The manche floorboards have an incline to them so you might want to use a piece of 2x3 angle for the front mounts so the seats don't lean forward and will sit flat.

The AFFF stuff is the foamy crap that airports use but is said to be a b*%^h to clean up afterwords. Looking into the 10lb FE-36 pull system where I can mount 3 nozzles in the engine bay and have a pull handle to put it out if need be. Then can mount a standard extinguisher for other use if need be. It's an expensive system but fast acting and will save it if you need to use it.

As I'm sure you know jim and horn free length isn't always a good indication because of the spring rate. The factory xj/mj coils compress a good bit when they're installed because of the lighter load ability, and the v8 zj's lift them a couple of inches due to the heavier curb weight and required handling for that vehicle. Only true way to tell is to take a measurement with the factory one's in his mj then install the zj one's and remeasure the same point.

yah i saw that $500 one and wish I was home to pick it up but won't be back for another 2 weeks. The frame damage they speak of could be fixed very easily and be the beginning of a good trail rig.

And if you're going through all that work you could possibly mount two of them in the front of the bed going side ways and have a dual tank setup that would hold ~50 gallons.

I had the rusty's stinger on an xj i used to have and looked ok. But after having it on there next bumper i get will be more along the lines of a pre-runner style so the hoop's not up in the way of much/anything.

I work for cubic and we're up here putting in the equipment on the skytrain system. They've got me in a furnished apt downtown on georgia and jervis. This trip I'm scheduled to be here till around march 2 or so depending on if it gets extended.

They're working to ban the future manufacture of high cap mags and guns with a "fixed magazine" Personal defense weapons will still be made and sold like they are now, you don't need an M16 or AK47 or any other assault rifle besides the cool factor or trying to make up for a lack of firepower elsewhere. You can't carry them around strapped to your back or side as I can my 45, and even if you can I guarantee I can get my pistol out and fire off a couple of rounds before you even get that rifle off your shoulder. They're also banning ammunition feeding devices capable of holding more than 10 rounds which means belt fed ammo boxes, drum mag's ie tommy guns, and banana clips holding 30+ rounds. Once again this is the future manufacture and selling of them, if you already own it before it's passed then you are grandfathered in. They're also trying to crack down on the loop holes that people find and exploit to make their AR's full auto and uncontrollable. I would personally rather be able to have a single well placed shot than spray and pray, especially as much as ammo costs. So they're doing nothing more than trying to stop the manufacture of assault rifles for civilian use which have no need in civilian world. You can still buy glocks, beretta's, smith and wesson, all hunting rifles and shotguns. There's no need for a 2.27 ar15 or any other assault rifle for civilian use besides to say "look how cool I am". I don't own one nor do I want to spend the money to buy one, I would rather take the money that would be required to buy 1 assault rifle and buy two pistols so I would then have a main and a backup if needed. They're not trying to do anything to your right to bear arms or own them simply cut down on the nut jobs access to high powered assault rifles as police forces are out gunned these days. So Jeep Driver you may not like what I had to say but tough s#!t as an american I have the right to free speech, are you going to impose on that or whine about that? If you're so worried about your guns then go buy all you can and bury them in a steel box in the back yard to keep them hidden and safe and never able to use.
