  2. Happy Birthday! Just turned 21 on the 28th. Still feelin' that one. But, congratulations. It's all downhill from here!
  3. Upgraded earlier today and am very pleased. Would definitely recommend. It's funny, though. The thing that I'm having the most trouble with is getting used to the swapped "new tab" and "new window" buttons. I'm still opening new windows.
  4. If it's got anything to do with the battery, it may just be telling you that the battery has been disconnected (or dead) in the last certain amount of starts.
  5. Finally got the pesky radio problem resolved. Was as simple as finding the time and getting my hands on a multimeter, and now it's working great. The truck's been parked for maybe four or five days, as there's no insurance on it at the moment. I went out to finish up the radio and put the dash back together, and my shop towels behind the seat have already been eaten by mice. Could not believe that. To make matters worse, I've got no defroster. I'm really hoping it's just a blown fuse and that the two aren't linked.
  6. That's what I was thinking when I saw the picture. Need to check that in a hurry.
  7. Yep, they're the same. Right now I'm trying to decide if I want the black wheels on all four, or if I want to find two more to match the fronts. Then it's just finding an extra 20 bucks to have the garage swap 'em. switch the ignition power cable with the battery power cable and vise versa on the cd player lol, and further up on this page Yeah, I've tried that. I've tried swapping a few of the wires, as I'm pretty much guessing which one is the constant power (not original). The way it's hooked up now is the only way it seems to respond. Changing one or both of the wires ends up resulting in no power to the unit at all. I'll keep fiddling with it, lol.
  8. I just want to point out that the pictures of the radio's posted above are not mine, just to avoid any confusion. It's been a while since I've put anything in here. For starters, I finally got to do some heavy hauling: An old disassembled bridge made out of railroad ties. The 2.5 did great and had no trouble at all. I was impressed. Only had to downshift to 3rd maybe 3 times over the mountains. And just yesterday, I finally got the CD player and two front speakers installed. (The window rails that retract when you put the window up (Or down, I forget.) actually came through the speakers. I hose clamped two pieces of hose over the rail to guide them in place.) I definitely had some trouble getting the CD player hooked up properly. And since there is no aftermarket wiring harness for an '86 (that I ever saw), you have to wire it straight in. This was a pain to figure out, lol. This is the harness that controls the speakers (duh): The diagram is: Green w/ white--Left Rear + Brown w/ white--Left Rear - Green-----------Left Front + Black w/ white---Left front - White w/ black---Right Rear + Brown-----------Right Rear - White-----------Right Front + Black------------Right Front - Any aftermarket CD player should come with a diagram for the harness it comes with. And here she is as of March 2nd, 2011: Next thing she really needs: Track bar. [EDIT] In the case of the stereo, something is still off. It doesn't save my stations after an extended period of time, so obviously the constant isn't right. :hmm:

    Gas prices

    $3.59 at Sheetz. :ack:
  10. Sorry to hear that, lol.
  11. I agree, it's not easy to read. But, I understood that when driving along, if he takes his foot off the gas and presses the clutch, the engine stumbles like it's dying and sometimes does shut off. If he pops the clutch, it'll start back up and run just fine. Mine does the same thing when cold, but I think it has to do with whatever gives it trouble starting/running before reaching operating temp. And since I haven't figured that out yet, I doubt I'd be much help. Does yours have any trouble starting or does it idle rough when cold?

    top speed

I can hit about 50-55 before it starts to rattle and wobble to pieces. I can usually do it once or twice between changes of pants.
  13. You just gave me a very bad idea. There's a creek just like this that runs through my Dads property. I know I'll try it eventually, but I may wait for the water to go down a bit. It's probably about the same depth as in the picture right now. I'll probably wait until we're finished building the bridge too so I've got someone on the other side if (when) I need them.
  14. The truck rolls backward around the 0:04 second mark. o.0
  15. Not much, but it sure did boost confidence when going past a trooper.
  16. Got this fancy new upgrade:
  17. Is it just me, or are the black parts actually the silhouette of laid-back women?
  18. From the symptoms you described, I would think fuel filter or possibly the cat.
  19. Yup, looks like the Master is leaking in. The leaking you saw on the bottom could be coming from the Slave Cylinder, also. But first things first, I'd replace that Master Cylinder and go from there.

    local 5-0

That's usually the way it is around here. Usually, if you're not hurting anybody, you won't run into trouble in these one-stoplight towns. But ever since I moved into this town (two-stoplights), I've had nothing but trouble. When I first moved here, I got stopped in a '91 Cougar for what the officer said was my "loud exhaust" but later revealed it was because the car was a POS and it was crammed full of junk. I had just bought that car, and it had every single thing I owned in it since I was moving. It was not insured (10 minute drive). Yes, I made a mistake, got my gigantic ticket, and got it over with. But any time this officer sees me in a different vehicle, I'm stopped instantly. It's quite annoying. I'm hardly a trouble maker, lol.
  21. Lol, from the F.a.q: "Q: What is your best price for this vehicle? A: KipKillmons is a one price dealership. We list our BEST price on ebay. No hassle, no negotiation!! The listed price is our best price. PLEASE don't call and ask for us to sell it for less!! We believe providing our best price up front is the best way to do business on ebay!!" It's funny to see this, though. I just saw a video advertising this truck on Youtube. [edit] The price on the auction is way below the price on the video. Still a bit too high, though, in my opinion.
  22. The clutch Master Cylinder is on the firewall, far right (drivers side if you're looking head-on), right behind the washer fluid reservoir. I'm not sure what year/model you have, or how different they may be, but there should be a small plastic reservoir on top with a rubber lid. Pop it off and see what you've got.
  23. Did you check the reservoir and make sure it had fluid? You could just be low on fluid, or it could be leaking from the Master Cylinder. Check above the fuse box under the dash (to the far left) for any fluid leaking down.
  24. Lotus. About six months ago.
  25. I'm takin' my Steelers, of course! That's right. I own them.
