Well, congratulations! Mine's ready when you've got the time. :D

I don't know, I'd kinda prefer if he tried again next week. Lol.

I test drove a 2008 Pontiac G8 recently. Newest thing I've ever driven. Even forgot my wallet when we went to the lot, still let me get behind the wheel. It was nice, except that this car lot had some of the nicest 'Vette's and Camaro's I'd ever seen. Aaah, someday. Someday I'll get to test drive one. I'll never own one of them damn things.

At least they've got lights at the track. Daytona 500 at night anybody? It doesn't seem to be letting up, though.

Interesting, the taillights threw me. They look like Honda tail lights, not Prius tail lights. But the car in the picture looks like a 4-door, which eliminates the CR-Z. [EDIT] It's a Honda Insight.

Excellent. *Sends to girlfriend, who is home alone.*

"Like" retracted. Naw, I'm kiddin'. The other girl's only winning because she's all "look at me" on top of the rig.

Done.

Bit of an update on this. I've been off the site for a while, it's been an interesting winter, but now the nice weather is coming and I've got the 'Manche running better, and the Jeep bug is making me itch. At least I hope that's what that is. o.0 Aaanyway, this Comanche is still sitting at the scrap yard, interior still intact and complete, both axles still there. The motors been picked a little, but still there for the most part. Anywho, I went to get some prices today, and this guy is playing hardball (out of ignorance, I think). $600 for front and rear-end, $150 for the seats, $100 for the dash/center console/interior trim. $75 a piece for the interior door panel? I just can't come anywhere near those prices, sadly. The interior is in great, great shape, and I'd hate to see that D44 wasted. If anyone on here's interested and heading this way (Belington, WV) anytime soon, the number is 304-457-1806. Guy you wanna talk to is Tim.

A balancing and a new track bar did it for me. Exact same symptoms.

There was a post here before about somebody seeing a Honcho II Comanche, but I don't know what ever came of it. :dunno: The Bigfoot of the Comanche world.
-
That's the plan.

I had the exact same problem. 0-45, not even a shimmy. 46+ was practically out of control. For me, my track bar was beyond bad. One new track bar and tire balancing later, smooth as butter. I was lucky, though. For others, it seems to be a much more complicated, aggravating problem.

You're right on that. I left out a 7. The VIN I have is 1J7FJ66LXLL177960. Sorry about that.
-
The VIN's got me stumped also. I will double check, but I matched the title to the number on the dash. :dunno:

I haven't been on much lately as I've just moved from my apartment to a place with much more room for my Jeep to play. I'm getting pretty settled in here, but my Jeep really doesn't have any other Jeeps to hang out with. In the 10 years I've lived in this town, I only know of one other Comanche nearby. There's also one a town over. Point is, I rarely see them around locally. I just received word a few days ago of a Comanche in a local scrap yard, which was surprising enough. I was not prepared for how pleased I would be upon seeing it. Went to check it out today: VIN: 1J7FJ66LXLL177960 Honestly, I felt like a kid on Christmas. The interior is beautiful. No rips or tears, and hardly dirty at all considering one of the windows was open. No smells either. The kicker is that, according to the owner of the lot, whom I haven't spoken with yet, there is a title problem and he will not sell me the truck and let me take it home, though he will let me "buy" it for a set price and pick it clean on his property. BUT, I don't want to title the truck, and it will be doing the same thing at my place that it's doing now, so hopefully I can get him to budge. It's a risk for me to trust that he wouldn't crush it or let someone else pick at it. I'm not rolling in money, but one way or another this baby's coming home with me. Whole or in pieces.

Anybody ever use a bench out of another truck???

Really wanting some bucket seats. -
Yep, that's pretty much how everyone drives around here.

It's replacing the word "what" except spelled with a "u." W-u-t. :rotfl2:

Same here. There goes another piece of my childhood.

Image Not Found That's up 70 cents since I posted on March 3rd. :ack:

Called it :D The only tractor I've ever driven/worked on is an old Ferguson. Love that thing Yep. 1952 Ferguson TO-30. Another batch of storms coming tonight and still have some loose pieces on the bridge we're building. They survived the worst flood of the year so far, so we'll see this time. Time to gas up the tractor.
-
Wow, only 114 miles on that one! :shake:

It's been raining a lot more than usual around here lately, with a few of the main roads becoming impassable for the first time I've ever seen. But with a river going through all these little towns and plenty of creaks lining the roads, I'm not surprised. For some reason, to my father, a flood says "gas up the tractor" rather than gas up the boat. :hmm:

Best answer I can give is to put up some pictures of what you're working with. That'll yield the best insight.
