Well its that time of year again for me. where you just have to get away from the day to day grind of the same old crap. I'm tagging along with some family who are going up there to see some friends. of course i won't be hanging out with them much, so I'm looking for something to do. ill be there three days the weekend of the 18th this month. i havent decided if ill take the MJ but either way I'm looking for cool: bars/restaurants, hiking/wheeling areas,,,,,,,,,,,,,thats pretty much it. :rotf: seriously though something fun to do. I'm only a few hours away and surprisingly enough this is my first time there so i have no idea whats up with it. ive asked a few people and they've told me a few spots but if anybody up that way wants to hang out, I'm game. id like to get a feel of the place while there because here lately ive been thinking about moving there. anyway give me a shout! i don't want to be stuck with family all weekend!

Track bar- fixed or adjustable?
SW86 replied to 89Tonto's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
adjustable for sure. get one with a heim. ive said it once and ill say it again. ive got the Rock Krawler bar and its freaking awsome. beefy and soild and with the bracket and lifetime warranty, it should be a no brainer. even if you don't offroad its still for the win in my book. ive had two, TWO Rough Country 99 dollar p.o.s. bars and they both broke. you pay for what you get, thats for sure. -
scary moment there i bet. it seems there have been quite a few wild fires this year already. glad everythings okay on your front
-
x2 x3 i just cut up so much wood in two days and built a huge bondfire with my dad so tall we couldnt throw more on top of it. the flames had to of gotten thirty feet high if not more.......that was a white mans fire for sure

not bad for five hundy  i see the grill is nice and upside down. ill never get how you could put one on upside down. the design lines are there, match em' up people!! :dunce: :fool: but hey its only like ten screws to fix it

what springs did you get? edit: just looked in your build thread. i was about to say my 4.5 springs looked nothing like that. lol nice MT springs tho

went muddin' and almost got stuck on my trail. that hole is really getting deep hour wash down was no fun though but looking at a clean truck again was worth it

see and i thought it was a bit low for highway speeds. it never goes below 25 at idle but at times it sits right at it. I'm thinking about just upgrading my oil pump to one of those higher flow ones. that factory one was rough looking when i had to take it out to drop the pan and as i stated it just started to do this so it might just be clogged. :dunno:

^^^ x2. i was going to email you guys and tell you to post up on the build here. glad to see you came around. can't wait to see the finished product Rob please make this a sticky! i don't want this build to get lost in the mix. we've got the world fastest comanche and now we'll have a Zone built trail rig. which will get huge coverage in UA. those two are a huge step in putting the MJ out there

nope don't need an oil change. i switched to 15w40 rotella after reading how good it was for the engine and would knock out the valve clicking. which it did knock out the clicking and the engine seems to run good. i knew id loose some pressure when switching over but i didnt expect to loose that much. plus down here in the heat/humidity i figured the thicker would be better for the summer but i used to run 10w30. as for synthetic i run it in all my other cars but just not the MJ. i don't know. thats just how it always seems to work out. :dunno:
-
thanks. well its only 114k on it. not really high miles in my book. and even when at 55-60mph its still the same. is that normal for it?
-
alright so as of late my oil pressure has been reading about 30. when its cold after i start it up its about 45-50. then when i start to drive and fully warmed up, it drops. it never goes below 25 but it hangs around the 30-35 mark. surely that can't be right. I'm running 15w40 and its a 4.0. could it be the gauge? oil pump? thanks

that date is good with me but almost 12 hours to get there! soooo in the MJ that'll be at least a whole day lol i guess i could come in my car but wheres the fun in that right. although only two tanks of gas (both ways) vs. hell i don't know, like five in the MJ. anybody want to catch a ride and chip in on gas haha

its official. i knew Zone Offroad was sponsoring UA this year but with a little reading/viewing around it appears they are going to build up a badass MJ! I'm looking for more info now

Ball Joint part numbers???
SW86 replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
^^^^^ correct. i need to get off my @$$ and install mine -
i can grow a pretty sweet beard and i usually do. i think i might have one or two small places where i can't get any to grow. maybe peach fuzz but nothing good like the rest of my face. i don't know what the deal is but its covered up by the hair around it so i don't care. now my brother can't grow a beard worth a $#!&. it took him so long to grow a decent goatee, i could of had a full beard!

love those rims man and the front fender trimming really does give any XJ/MJ a whole new attitude. one of the first things i did to mine

SW86 replied to btm24's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
everything torqued to spec?? I'm not aware of anything you can grease that you just put on. you could go back through everything up front and grease it. now how about some pics of the new stance :brows: -
hey that little dude is pretty cool i have to say but at that price ill stick to my tent and sleeping bags. would be awsome as hell to have though
