  1. i think we're just going to have to make our own. adam doesnt care about us! :peek: :D viewtopic.php?f=3&t=13318&start=2640 its around the bottom of the page
  2. yup and 31s will not rub at all with them on there. its somewhere about a quarter to a half inch of room left at full flex i get. starter went out. so i guess thats what ill do to it today.
  3. nice work. diggin that oil fill cap
  4. screw that. save up/build your own long arms but yes they will.
  5. didnt know the clock had to have a bulb. i half way pulled off the back cover on it and i didnt see any bulb in there or a spot for one. then again, it took me forever to find that plug, so your prolly right and i just overlooked it :shake: same problem with my speedo. i fixed it though.
  6. welp learning really comes from doing cause i fixed it right after my post. when i took out the gauge cluster it pulled out the speedo cable from the tcase part. so with a little re-reading of posts, i went out unscrewed the housing on the tcase and put the cable back in with fresh grease. speedo works great again!
  7. alright i did a little research and found most of what i needed to know. i pulled my cable all the way out to make sure it didnt snap somewhere between here and the tcase. it didnt. so what exactly do i do at the tcase to fix it? un-do that little clip is pretty much is far as i got from searching. and maybe something to do with the positioning of it when putting it back together. :dunno: help appreciated, id like to get this knocked out today if i can and if something is messed up theres an XJ with the exact same drivetrain as mine to snag parts off of.
  8. well i found it. it was literally in the middle of a group of wires. i didnt even see it in there until i stuck my fingers through them. on the downside. one, the clock doesnt work. i put a fuse in and still nothing. two, i think i broke my speedo cable. i pulled it forward in the slightest to hook it up and the wire kept coming. hooked up it anyway, drove forward and nothing....awsome. :headpop:
  9. i don't think the PO would of cut anything,,,,though the wipers are hooked up to a switch and only go at one speed :dunno: . I'm the third owner and the second only had it for a month. original owner was an old guy who only used it to hunt. i think i lucked out on it. even though i know the fat kid (second owner) did slightly offroad it in that time frame. anyway I'm bored as hell so i might go out with a flash light right quick. everything is already unscrewed, including gauge cluster minus the speedo cable, so it should be a quick find if its back there. wish me luck! haha
  10. thanks guys. i dug around pretty good, short of taking out the gauge cluster. all the plugs were there for everything else, just not that one. ill dig around more tomorrow cause it really is a cluster @#$% of wires under there. if nothing turns up ill follow what you said johnny or maybe ill just buy an external clock and mount it somewhere.
  11. awsome. that'll be one badass truggie
  12. while picking up mirrors for my half doors, the 89 XJ had a factory clock as where i didnt. so i snagged it. well when i got home and went to put it in, theres no plug for it. i assumed there would be but i dug around and came up with nothing. shouldnt there be a plug for it in there somewhere or did i waste a few bucks????

if yall are talking about that cell that went through yesterday, i was lucky. it rained for all over two minutes here and that was it! i saw the storm coming but it went all around us. then i saw it moving away on the other side of our property. very lucky to say in the least.
  14. mine will do that once and awhile but right after it dies, when i fire it back up it high idles for a few seconds then drops to normal. sometimes ill have to tap the gas to get it to drop. :dunno: didnt mean to :hijack:
  15. i have a sub to Petersens and Four Wheeler. have had for years. don't really like Four Wheeler so i think i won't get it anymore. never really liked JP either. picked it up a few times in stores killing time but didnt hold my interest. as i recall it had quite a few tech articles along with pics. so maybe I'm just selling it short. for me Petersens is the way to go. i like the people, articles and Whoops! at the back of the mag
  16. thanks. why three? and where's a decent place to buy?
  17. i need to replace my front driveshaft ujoint, its the 1310 right? and where's a good place to pick one up? thanks
  18. i was just wondering how you were racking up so many posts. i now see how..........those trucks are built. if you built an MJ on rockwells with rear steer and half the $#!& those big @$$ rigs have, then yeah. it might have a chance. those trails, rock sections and hill climbs are insane. i havent been but if you just think about when you do something and take a pic and it doesnt do it justice......
  19. good score. that rust really makes me cringe everytime but I'm sure you northerners are used to it :shake:
  20. after i drive my MJ, even if its not all the way warmed up, there will always be smoke in my valve cover. if it gets up to operating temps, theres more but its always consistant everytime. no more, no less smoke. is this just something these older 4.0s do or is there a problem a foot? oil pressure seems good to go for 10w40 oil. do any of your MJs do this also? thanks
  21. ^^^^^ that was freakin awsome!!! :rotf: just wish they would of gotten the cruiser finishing the roll
  22. i think he was taking a post from our local jeep club site. the pres. just posted it up and i told them how and where to find the thread.......guess it didnt take :fool:
  23. hate to be the kill joy again but come on guys, its the goverment. they don't care about the people. if they want something, its going to happen. no matter who they put out. just like my friends up in MO that had to fight the power company from cutting down their woods to run EVEN more power lines. they fought it and lost. they got an insult of amount of money and now have a $#!&load of woods missing and huge highwires running across almost all of their 550 acres. sure they paid to own the land but if the goverment wants to do something, they will. :headpop: i do hope that they don't take over JV though. ive always wanted to wheel there and always keep up with king of the hammers. hell i wanted to attend it one day............
  24. seems like they need to get their heads out of their asses and make something more worth while
  25. does the comanche come with the house? :brows:
