:huh???: I think i missed something ???CO??? or do you OH? I am so confused but if your asking about me traveling anywhere I only get up to 60 mph on the road and i don't have the greatest motor. My truck hardly leaves base except for local wheeling or being towed by a friend. Cole -

I have priced 8.8s and there are unreal here since i have no pick n pull I know of close to me that i can get my truck to without a fight on the interstate (cause its not very interstate friendly) :D . I was thinking if i can get one real cheap somewhere then I would be alot better off than paying $475 for an 8.8 that i have to regear. But i guess your right its best to find exactly what i need. Cole -

That sure makes it hard to find it seems. But i am now in the hunt for one if anyone knows one close to me in SC or western NC i would be very interested or if anyone has plans for a road trip to tellico and wants to drop one off somewhere in that area. Cole -
I am not a lady of the night yet but i think i just get on here and post on as many topics that i can and it seems to be getting worse. I know i will never catch up with you or pong or pete or any of you other big posters. I just havve been here for a couple of months and already 300 and i was very surprised to see that. especially since i have been a member of another jeep forum for close to a year and only have maybe 50. I am running 35s right now with 4.10s and it does ok but i was thinking of going lower like 4.88. But if i was to do the fullwidth swap i would do something in the 5's. I really just want something that i can trust more than my 35 rear which actually lasted thru tellico when i went but i don't want to take a chance. I have a luchbox locker in my 35 so i figure if i sell that stuff i might be able to swap in a 20 for nothing maybe even gain after selling my 3 d35s that i have for spares??? just an idea i had. If i can get one for 100 bucks i think i would do it soon If its worth it. Cole -

Ok hopefully this works well I am typing it up in word and transferring it over so here it goes…… First off you need to trim the lip that goes around the mounting inside edge of the fender it will hold it away from the truck. Next I mocked up where I wanted it and marked the inside so I had room to mount the flare to the truck. I then broke out the greatest invention known to offroaders more commonly called a SAWZALL and started hacking once I was done I made sure all sharp and potential tire cutting edges were bent under or covered using this rubber trim that I got from my dads work back home. I then had a buddy hold the fender in place so I could mark the holes with a sharpie after that was done I drilled small pilot holes and ran some self tapping screws threw them and sandwiched the flare in-between I then aligned it how I wanted and tightend everything down except the rear bolts closest to the door. At a later time I cut the lower part of the flare off so that it would sit flush since the lip that runs down the bottom panel of the truck wouldn’t hold it up ( I will point this out in pics) lastly I tightened the rear screws up and I was done. Hope this helps if you have any Questions let me know. Newest pics Here is the last cut Here is it stuffed See how high I chopped Sorry for the big images and long post trying to help as much as possible Cole

I have decided on the latch that someone used for there tailgate. Its was a 90* latch and would work well i just can't find the post right now i think i haved it saved at work. Thanks for posting up though. BPM4x4...... I will do a write up with pics on the flares sometime tonight hopefully. Cole

What do you need to know. Also check my fenders the are hacked way up high so the top of the flare lines up with the ridge that runs down the truck. Let me know what you need to know and ill type it up. Cole

You could take some pipe and cap it off and put 2-3 tubes in that hole and plumb them together. :dunno: Cole

Help - Bad Shimmy, Running Warm
JOMJ87 replied to Rundel's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
don't get a heavy duty stabilizer it just hides the real issue. I would try the sway bar stuff and see what that does. About the box...Does it return to center well? if not it may help if it does then it is prob OK. Cole -
In my AX4 that was original to the MJ I somehow exploded the input shaft  And it would make horid noises in 1-3 but in forth it didnt 1st was the worst gear it barely moved to. I don't know if this helps but i know it clanked and chattered but it sounds like your issue. BUT i had about a 1/3 of the teeth ripped of the input shaft maybe if its just chipped or something. :dunno: Cole
