Right, right! I had to leave so that's something for the second trip. But I definitely at least want to grab it.

Right? I'm very disappointed that Pull A Part doesn't let you, even if you offer 3x what they paid. I'm sure it's some dumb government reason. The truck is very clean inside and out, but they installed a sliding rear window really badly and it leaked enough water in to rust the floors away. Nothing that can't easily be fixed, though! It even has cruise control!

Ha! Dang, should I bring 2 trailers? Unfortunately the rear bumper is pretty mangled and the spare tire carrier cable is cut, but everything else seems pretty ok. The bed is pretty straight. I have two wheelbarrows full of stuff today, though, so I might have to make another trip! You mean you want me to grab the console for you or you just recommend I grab it in general?

VIN: 1JTMU64S8HT184505 I'll throw it up on the registry shortly. Had the pleasure of meeting @cjate on the yard! He took the tail lights and the parking brake. I'm grabbing the seats, the interior trim, the tailgate, and probably the topper. Edit: they want $120 for the topper so definitely not lol

I was just going to offer! I'll have to come back with a trailer, but I'll absolutely hold onto it if you want to drop by for it.

Just got a text notification. I saw a white Comanche (with Pioneer stripes, though) sitting at a auto shop recently, and I almost stopped and asked about it. If this is that truck, I won't forgive myself lol. I'm heading over and I'll update with pics and a VIN when I get there. Anyone need anything? I'll ship.

Restoring faded and yellowed plastic?

Wet sanding will definitely take the logos off, you are correct. -
Yeah, super readily available. Buy a good brand, though - some el cheapos I've gotten lasted about 50 cycles before burning out, ha!

Steering Column Compatibility

My lockout lever is literally just epoxied in place. Put it in the park position and apply a liberal amount of JB Weld -
...did they bedline the dashboard? That's absurd.

Found my oil leak -.-
scaleless replied to 87ComancheMJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Then I would try to just drill them out. Unless they replaced them with Grade 5 or 8 fasteners, it should be easy. Then helicoil the holes (or drill and tap them one size larger if you have the clearance for the head, I guess). -

It might be fairly easy to drill out - the block is harder than the fastener - but you'll definitely have to repair the threads afterwards. If done correctly, welding a nut on will likely be the quicker and easier option. -
Gas charged, hood struts.

I haven't installed them yet, but I was seriously looking at this kit: https://www.quadratec.com/products/13027_1050.htm?gclid=Cj0KCQjw16KFBhCgARIsALB0g8K49YE1vImm4aMO8_MwzMMcPEm9imXREjKqT4dg-T0goxkrfLzhEY0aAqtzEALw_wcB -
Just remove the vacuum line and cap it off at the source. You don't need to do anything to the valve, since it's normally closed.

I have a brand new aftermarket one sitting on my shelf at my warehouse. I think it was by NTK, if I recall. I'll take a look as soon as I drop by next. I'll sell it if you want, too - I ended up deleting it instead. Edit: I found the receipt. It's this: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=2065950

Weather stripping, doors specifically?
scaleless replied to KANTANKRUS's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
97+ is an improved seal design and works for pre-97 too. So yeah, grab that from RockAuto. -

Right, it was a dealer-installed option. The kits were sold aftermarket by JC Whitney, too, I think.

Phoenix has a much better selection: https://www.phoenixgraphix.com/jeep.php

4X4 Conversion Parts List
scaleless replied to TheDirtyJeep401's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
There's a lot more variation than that - refer to the Novak page on the topic for more info: https://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/np-nvg-input-gears/ Novak also sells input gears if you really can't find a matching tcase. You'll definitely be safe if you buy a mated transmission and tcase together, though. Also just to expand on the "J" suffix: that stands for Jeep. There's also "D" - Dodge, "C" - Chevy, "HD" - Heavy Duty (Jeep), and "DHD" - Heavy Duty (Dodge) -
Looks awesome, but I bet that's a nightmare if water gets under it!

On a related note, what's different between the Renix and HO boxes other than the removal of the hot air bypass?
