  2. The mirrors will fit but I don't know what they mean by "manual remote". I know there are 'manual' and 'electric remote', so not sure on these.
  3. A couple weeks ago, my wife and I carpooled to work in the MJ. That was her second time riding in the the truck and she isn't shy about her disdain at having to be in "that thing". Her DD is a Porsche Cayenne S which has it's own set of issues, but she loves it. Upon exiting the highway and turning at a busy intersection, someone nearby shouted " COOMAAANCHEEE". I couldn't see who shouted but I stuck my hand out the rear slider and gave a thumbs up. She couldn't believe what just happened. Nobody ever shouted Cayenne during her out and abouts. I explained (again) about the strong bond between Comanche owners and drove the rest of the way home with a slight grin.

    heck of a week

It looks like she hit a building! Your MJ held up quite well. A new tail gate and bumper and you are set. Most importantly, you, your passenger, and your tail lights are OK. Stick to your guns when dealing with the insurance companies about getting the Comanche repaired properly.
  6. 1, 3 , and 4 for mine.

  10. Check the intermittent wiper box velcroed to the inside lower dash panel. Unplug both ends and plug the ends into each other. Your wipers should work at slow and high speed. These boxes are easy to come by at junkyards so I would get a couple spares or see if any members have one that they can sell cheap. The bushings on the wiper motor assembly tend to wear out and can be replaced fairly easily. Look through DIY section for wiper motor replacement and one for wiper bushings replacement. Both posts are very good at walking you through the job. That will solve your lazy wiper issue.
  11. I remember a recent spiff about corn on here so hows about a bumper made of a giant ear of corn? After all, corn is a bumper crop! Image Not Found

  13. TeamCherokee carries them under "Engine-Electric". Hopefully it's a complete set up.
  14. You may want to post a picture because the I.A.C. is not connected to the EGR transducer or valve. Here's a link to some common sensors. http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/Eng ... ostics.htm Reading your post again I realize you didn't say they were connected. If your EGR valve is not closing then you need a new one. They're easy to replace. Look through the above link to get more details. Good luck!
  15. Most people don't like to negotiate over the phone prior to showing the vehicle. Once you're there and can thoroughly inspect it and see how many miles it has, you can barter a little better. ( Cash Talks ) Remember, in CA, it is the Sellers responsibility to ensure the vehicle passes SMOG, which is required upon transfer of title. So if they stick near their price, insist on a current smog cert.

  18. I spent my first 18 years in Essex Junction about a mile from the Winooski River (that's Indian not Polish) and have several family members spread throughout the state. One of my sisters owns a parcel on the shore of Lake Champlain in Isle La Motte. The lake could overflow but hopefully all the flooding is done with for now.
  19. This was a good time! Great to meet other members and swap stories. It's bad enough I had 4x4 envy but what really got me was the guys who have Air Conditioning.
  20. For that price, buy it anyway and then figure out a place to keep it.

  25. The missing piece is in the bed and looked scraped but not destroyed to the best of my recollection. However, I did not remember to specifically examine it. When I go back in a few days, I will take a pic of it.
