    2000 XJ problem

I had a similar codes on one of my 2001 wranglers. It ran fine and I kept clearing the code. That worked for awhile till the coils died and it was running on 3 cylinders. Replaced the coil rail and plugs and ran fine after. It had 93k on it.
  9. Had a 1979 amc spirit in this week. It was for the most part clean on the underside.
  10. I sent the Facebook post to a family friend that was an engineer at Glaval. He didn’t work on this project for them but said they built very few of them. It was a one year run and they had a hard time selling them. They also were very top heavy he said.
  11. In Michigan if it’s 25 years old you can run year to date plates. I got luck to find one that starts out MJ.
  12. Wasn’t the person that posted he had bought one out in California or Nevada not in Orlando.
  13. My 2001 wrangler started making a tic noise 2 years ago but would go away when up to operating temp. This spring when I got it out the noise was louder and did not go away when up to temp. Then it got super bad knocking noise. Took head off found nothing dropped oil pan found two chunks of number 5 piston. It only had 93k on it
  14. Irish spring soap or something that smells of mint. Rodents don’t like the smell
  15. Wow I totally forgot about Count Chocula. It was always good.
  16. I found mine on car-part.com and found a salvage yard that would ship. 2 of the wheels were $50 each and the other 2 were $30 each and $25 a wheel to ship.
  17. I saw this one on Drummond Island today
  18. Lol this Jeep was built 10 days before my other 2001 wrangler. The TJ sticker is gone on the side. I was surprised that my local dealer was the original seller. But looking at the title it had 750 miles on it when the previous owner bought it.
  19. No, my 2001 that I bought brand new. I had to buy that black 01 because I’m a trail guide for the Drummond island Jeep jamboree and I have to be there. We were going to buy the black Jeep anyway but it wasn’t going to until we got back from Drummond. So Wednesday when it was determined that my original 01 was not able to be fixed in time we bought that Jeep because I have to be on Drummond on Monday morning for pre running.
  20. It had a little more than the normal 4.0 tick. I thought it was a lifter starting to go bad then all of a sudden it got loud so I thought I lost a lifter. Tore it down no play in valve train. Pulled head to check lifters. A mechanic friend that does engines told me to pull pan just to check and found piston chunks from #5
  21. I just broke a piston in my 2001 Jeep TJ 4.0L. How common is it and has anyone else have this problem. My TJ had 93k on it and very well maintained.
  22. I’m pretty sure this is a Canadian Jeep Wrangler. Just bought from a lady I’ve known for a long time it belonged to her late husband.
  23. Nice find Pete!
