  1. Congrats Wade! Great truck, I love the way it looks and I love the way it sounds too!
  2. Very cool of you to do this. I'm interested, but I'm going to think about it for a few days... I could use one/two if they are worth it... I think I know the answer, but maybe check and see if we could get them cheaper if we buy a good share of them? :dunno:
  3. I got mine apart just like it was described here, no compressor and everything is still intact...
  4. I've got all kinds of projects to do. The g/f and her family will be here all weekend so I'm busy for sure this weekend. The next 2-3 weekends though in May are open as of right now. I may need some help on my dash removal to put in my new heater box in the '90. Also still have to swap in the new column into the '88. Lots of work to do to the '88... its not going to roll down the road for a while. I won't lie, I've really been slacking on my large scale maintenance and its starting to show: 1. Replace cracked exhaust manifold 2. Replace motor mounts and trans mount 3. Replace steering column 4. Rotate tires (Ball joints are going bad in the axle thats in there, the big time rebuilt axle/locker might get expedited a bit now...) 5. Scrub down floorboards and repaint (rust has shown its ugly face once again) 6. If I get to it this summer, swap in my new trans and clutch setup. And thats just what I would like to do to the '88 this summer. The '90 is a whole 'nother story... So, if you all wanted to scoot up here for a Saturday to help me with the column swap or heater box swap, that would be fine with me. I've got my grille over here now and I'm more than happy to fire it up. Burgers and beer go good with wrenching... We'll have to kind of play it by ear weather wise, since I don't have a garage anymore, I don't work in the rain... Another LKQ run would be great too!
  5. :wavey: Pretty quiet lately...
  6. Glad we all could make it. I got some great stuff there today with all the literature, tools and parts that I came home with. I laid it all out on the floor and I was happy with my haul. Thanks for showing up guys, I'm already marking my calendar for the Summer and Fall Swaps and Car Shows. Now I'm off to get to work, big thanks to Pat and Rob for bringing me those parts I needed!
  7. Thanks for this. I'm ripping into my tilt column and its all the same...so far.
  8. I'm still planning on going. www.weather.com was wrong about today's forecast yesterday. I'm hoping the same applies tomorrow. http://www.weather.com/weather/today/USWI0347
  9. Yah, they have the other 57 magnets before mine and will continue to add more in the series I'm sure. You can try to request it, but I doubt they fulfill requests like that, probably just grab the next one in the pile and throw it in the box.
  10. ...just wait. Not a magazine ad, but kinda close... :D As promised, here is http://www.Rockauto.com's latest magnet. Big thanks to my neighbor who works at http://www.Rockauto.com for doing this for me. After I spoke to him about all the parts I bought from his company over the years, the wheels started turning and this is where we ended up at. They include these magnets with their orders that they ship all over the world. :D
  11. How are you going to rig up some mirrors to make it street legal?
  12. Too soon to tell yet, wait til tomorrow.
  13. I think his name was Bryan. I met him once, great guy.
  14. My Dad is building two of these right now. They are quite the truck, lots of fun.
  15. Been there a few times in the past. I'll be stuck here in Wisconsin this year. Have some fun for me!

    Oops!

The passenger side of your front axle does not like you very much. ;)
  17. I was planning on getting there in the morning around 9 and going for it. PM me your number Wade and I'll shoot you mine...Rob and I met up that way last time and it worked out well.
  18. So what are you guys going to end up doing with the jigs for all this MJ stuff? Some of us might be VERY interested in them and could easily pick them up the next time we are in Kalamazoo :brows:
  19. its hard to tell what all you have there for sale from the pics. Don't see anything I need off hand though. Really I'm just going to spend a Saturday with whoever shows up from CC and to buy some more sockets. There are a few other things I'll be looking for, nothing major, unless the price is right.
  20. What section of the FE did you take. I passed the Civil section last year. Congrats on making it to the point of taking the exam. Its a big step to finally accomplish.
  21. I love it! I'm all for a production run of these, blue would be awesome :brows:
  22. Err, something you need to come clean about there 500? :peek:
  23. I could say so much about this, but I'm going to zip it. "To each his own" definitely sums it all up. I couldn't choose which way I wanted to go with my first MJ so instead I just got two and went both ways. 8) Being versatile is the best thing about our trucks.
