  1. Just knowing it is the floor tell me that there is more rust than what you are seeing.
  2. We are not trying to overwhelm and care you though.
  3. This, but I’m also going to recommend butt welding it. It will prevent moisture from getting between layers causing rust.
  4. I’m currently 16 and live in WI. I plan to move where there isn’t salt used on the roads as soon as I can do I can drive older vehicles that can be fixed easier every day for this reason.
  5. I was super excited to get my baby out this spring.
  6. Seriously though, I could probably put together a parts list with costs to show what all I’ve stuck into mine. And I have gotten cheap and free parts because I have friends that are adults (I’m 16). I have more than $4k in mine excluding paint, replacement metal (it didn’t need much) and labor.
  7. Don’t plan on building one that is nice and done correctly for less than $5k. And that is excluding purchasing the truck.
  8. Ok. Thank you. I think it is a good plan that you are replacing the taillights with something more common. You could probably fit 35s, but don’t quote me on that.
  9. Looks like an Eliminator.
  10. Here is mine with a 3in lift and 31s for reference. I personally like the stance for daily driving. I do have a write up for what I did with my rear lift too on here. In regard to a radio, @Minuit is your guy should you have any questions.
  11. Love that step side look.
  12. I was trying to give you an answer, but you didn’t answer my question. Do you feel comfortable with cutting your truck fenders and bed up?
  13. Maybe you should add this build thread to your sig...
  14. @eaglescout526, what color is your XJ interior?
  15. That’s nice. The nearest MJ owner on here is about 45 minutes away from me.
  16. First off, I would like to point out that there is a right way and a wrong way to do everything. That said, the right way is going to be way more time consuming and expensive, but you probably won’t need to do it again. The info from my rocker swap is on page two of my build thread. I would also also look at what @Dzimmhas done with his 92 rocker replacement. It has been done well too. His has been done on page 4 and his rockers were pretty bad.
  17. Thank you The bumper is a DIY kit from Amazon. It cost be about $170 shipped to my door. It is made by an electric bike company. Ecotric if I remember correctly.
  18. 31s will fit on stock wheels with no lift, however here is mine with a 3 inch lift on 31s. It flexes really well and only rubs on the LCAs.
  19. If you haven’t yet, add it to the registry, you can get a mostly correct build sheet when you do. What are your long term plans with the truck?
  20. It looks like your grille is upside down in the last picture.
  21. Sorry, not exactly revolving about the moral of the story, but congrats on the new truck! Also, from the little bit I know about you from this forum, I’m surprised you bought a new truck. Why did you decide to do it now and not wait to see if there would be one that was almost new but used in a few months should money get tight for some people and they needed to sell it?
