  2. How could you tell it was a street MJ?

While cleaning his garage I found all the missing details. I found the rear window, window sticker, every receipt imaginable. It was reassuring to know it was cared for, and had been on plenty of adventures. I feel even more responsible to keep it really nice, take it on my own outdoor endeavors. CC is Awesome! Why? The members are extremely generous not only with information, but in any way they can be. I have seen people really go out of their way to help one another with their MJ's. I think it is awesome we are all working to keep these trucks alive as long as we can. I will always be extremely humbled by how many people are willing to help, and contribute to others' success on this website. In the beginning, I was overwhelmed by the idea of owning a rare older truck. With the friends on here I'm more excited than ever. Look how clean that engine bay is Congrats @CoastChief! And thank you for helping the MJ community with your reproduction side moldings!

  6. They definitely are cool.
  7. Awesome! Thank you for the offer!
  8. Oh it’s bad. The frame is rusty, it has no floors, rockers, cab corners, the bedsides are junk, the bed floor is junk, and the front fenders are super rusty.
  9. Let the engine swap commence! My brother and I brought this to an auction today to buy his J10 when either a radiator hose or the water pump decided to let go. The rod knock also got worse. Stay tuned!
  10. My brother and I went to an auction today and he bought this for $275. It is super rusty, even the frame. He is 13 years old and plans in buying a nicer truck with less rust and this will be his parts rig. He brought it home, threw a booster pack on it, poured some starting fluid in the carb and it started! Details: 79 J10, 360, 4 speed, LWB If you look closely, you can see my Comanche in the background.
  11. I’m surprised my Peugeot has loved as long as it has. I beat on it pretty good with my 31s, 4.10s, and love to get 2nd gear rubbed along with clutchless shifts. It’s gone through 3,000 miles as of tonight of that kind of driving.

    Nice to know!
  13. It’s like small shreds of felt from my understanding.
  14. Thanks, this is all being considered.
  15. Thanks. I’m going to be using your website through the swap.
  16. It can be a second vehicle. I’m comfortable with all of the wiring.

Thanks! That’s was a lot of useful information!
  18. Alrighty then.
  19. 👍
  20. Thanks. It’s got manual windows.
  21. Thanks. So, correct me if I’m wrong-I need to pull all of the wiring out of the XJ, cut out parts from the XJ harness I won’t need (interior lights maybe) and splice in the MJ parts I need (rear section for taillights and etc.). Does that sound correct?
  22. Good point.
  23. Sweet. I may be referencing that.
  24. Thank you. I’ll need to think on this. I want a nicer quality, but I’m not sure if the work is worth it.
