  1. I would just wait for an AX-15 to come along, even if it needs to be rebuilt. I had a tech school rebuild mine. It needed a new drive gear and all new synchros. Total was $341.

I'm curious about this too. I'm guessing it will be 8,000+ pounds, but maybe the body will be very light.

I agree with your first sentence. I do believe Ford is coming out with an electric F-150 and I'm curious as to how that will compete and what the pricing will be. Maybe they will come out with some sort of solar panel charger?
  4. Turns out, the climate control switch thing went bad. I swapped it with an extra that I had. I also swapped in a radio (circa about 2002, no, it did not remove a stock radio from the truck) that works. It's gonna have tunes! I'm excited.

I'm curious as to how large it will be. I think it will be larger than GM's gas powered trucks. It looks huge in pictures.
  6. It seems like most of the high priced MJs are out in the VA/NC area (except for mine and a few others, 1 of which is in Chicago I think).

I think it’s cool. Up to 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 pound feet of torque.
  8. Ooooooooooooo 58-60 Rambler American. Interesting taillight choice for a 58 Chevy.
  9. It's definitely Pete's MJ Shrine.

    96+ fuel rail

I’ll double check that I won’t need it on my truck. If I don’t, just make an offer.
  11. I’ve heard of this. I think its it’s like the “everybody gets a trophy” for JKU owners.
  12. I want to stick Trump stickers on rioters cars to watch them destroy each other’s cars.
  13. I’m 16 currently. I have a link to a 3(ish) inch rear lift that I did on my truck for the rear. You should be able to pick up a used XJ 3 inch lift for cheapish and modify it like I did. I used a 3 inch XJ lift in the front and put some of the leafs in my current pack to net about 3 inches of lift. Also, from one high schooler to another, I will tell you that a shiny truck will get you more attention than a lifted one. Here is a picture of mine. My parents didn’t pay for a single thing on it. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about daily driving an MJ in high school or need any other advice about HS.
  14. Don’t cheap out on a lift. That can be dangerous and ride poorly.
  15. Glad to hear it. My truck was almost red because of it. I went into the shop to get paint and I planned on getting a red for it.

Here is an updated picture of the MJ
  17. Seeing as though you have the legendary, awesome, 2.8 V6 of fury, I'd put a GM 3.4 or 3.1 in it with a 700R4 behind it. As for gearing, I'd run either a 4.10 or 4.56 (probably the latter) in the axle(s).

Let's see some pictures of this thing.
  19. I also ordered some 4 hole fuel injectors to go on the new motor. At this point I'm just waiting for the county to spray the salt solution crap on the roads, then she will be coming all the way apart.
  20. Maybe your thermostat isn't opening all the way. Also, make sure nothing is blocking your radiator. If both of those look good, I'd swap the water pump. My dad had a 54 Studebaker Conestoga with a SBC and had the propeller for the water pump break off (it was a new water pump on a new motor). I'm not saying that that is likely, but it is possible.
  21. The issue of the week this week is no power to the climate controls. I will be looking at it more after work today.
  22. The plan is to bring this back in the main part of the shop here before the snow flies this winter.
  23. How has the LJ been doing lately?
  24. Is your thermostat stuck open? That could cause the coolant to circulate too quickly and not allow it to heat up. Also, if you are smelling coolant, have your MJ running and check under the hood for leaks. I'd also recommend checking your oil. If it looks like chocolate milk, you have lost your headgasket and it is possible that oil is getting into your combustion chamber.
