To kinda add on to what Pete has said, These trucks really don't need much to be a pretty solid wheeler. I have about a 3 inch lift on mine with 31s. I also have a friend with a JT on 37s. I'm pretty sure my truck has a better breakover angle than hers. I would love to upgrade to 33s on my truck, but I worry the gas mileage would go in the toilet, plus I would need to do a bunch more work to it, and to me, its not worth it. If I were to build a truck to bomb around in the woods, it would get a 3 or 4 inch lift, 31s, a front winch bumper with a winch, a limited slip rear differential and a set of rock sliders.

Is this including paint too? What brand of paint/primer and body filler do they use? Is the truck getting stripped or are they just going to do the bodywork over the existing paint? Is a reputable shop doing this work? Even if that quote is just for labor, you either have a nearly perfect truck to begin with, or the work is not going to be the best.

Hmmmmmmm....... Well, to do it right, you will need to have some money in metal, we will assume $100 for metal. Then, you will need primer. I bought high quality primer with the reducer and hardener for $400. I recommend getting some sandblasting done, which then will need weld-through primer, let's figure $100 for that. So, with all of that, you are at $400, without paint or sealer. Paint cost for my truck was $250 per gallon. Clear was $400 per gallon. Sand paper was $100 And I have about 400 hours in bodywork/rust repair on my truck. Even if you figure that at minimum wage ($7.25 per hour in WI), you get $2,900. But that was making my truck absolutely perfect. So, my total, if I paid myself for labor would be $4,150. Most bodyshops are $65+ per hour though around me.

New fuel pump installed. He also replaced the brake lines. Now just needs to fix a rusty fuel line.

I should have elaborated more in my original post. I agree 100% that this is a nasty virus. There’s no denying that. What ticks me off is that, even though there is no school, our school district is still doing almost all, if not all, of its regularly scheduled sports. They are even doing wrestling this winter. They also have a child care option at the elementary school levels that they are having kids IN THE SCHOOL, but they can’t learn in the classroom. You can also drive around town and see a bunch of kids all walking around or playing in yards. Heck, we live up the road from 2 teachers. They have the volleyball team at there house every few weekends (20+ cars) and they have volleyball games. It’s people like them that are the problem. Wow! That’s pretty good. Is the district taking any other precautions? Also, our district has sent out surveys asking parents if they want their kids in school. They also released the fact that 92% of parents want their kids in school.

If you are in high school currently, or have kids/grandkids/nieces/nephews, etc. that are school age, are you/they currently in school? Here in Holmen, WI, we are not going to school. The elementary schools were going to school 5 days a week starting this week, the middle school was going to be hybrid, and the high school was going to be hybrid starting 11/9/2020. We are switching back to virtual though because there have been like 2 cases in our district. We have 4 elementary schools, and 1 middle school, and only something like 2 cases. I am not thrilled, especially considering that there is a strictly virtual school option that already exists for the kids that have parents that want them to stay home. So, the kids that want to go to school cannot.

Gotcha. I use Chrome on IOS and on my school issued Chromebook and I have no issue with it. I have no other suggestions. I am not an IT guy, nor do I have any desire to be. LOL

This truck is why I want a topper on mine.

How do you plan to keep rain/mud (or anything else for that matter) out of the exhaust with it pointed straight up?

I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue lately. What browser are you accessing CC on? Could that impact it?

It's pretty cool, but this is the first time that they acknowledged our existence in how long and this is the best they could do? It is because of stuff like this that I have given up on Jeep. They like their JKs, JLs, and JTs. Everything else gets neglected.
