  1. I kinda figured that was the plan, just wanted to see if you had any other plans for it.

Already been taken care of. Could these threads be merged though?
  3. Shouldn't this thread be called "Brake upgrades - stop with this"? Sorry, I'll see myself out.
  4. Any updates on this?
  5. It now is solid fuel lines and he took some headlights out of a 97 header panel that I had, so it now has headlights that aren't busted out.
  6. Dad did get different wheels for it mounted up. I shall try to take pictures next time I am out there (probably tonight)

That makes sense. I definitely agree with waiting to see how it wheels first.
  8. Also, do you have any complaints with the stroker?

OK, that's not that far then. I still wouldn't do it. If you wanted a shorter truck, I would post that truck for sale once you get the tail lights and turn signals working and try to find a short bed. There are quite a few people on here that would rather have a long bed over a short bed for usability.
  10. That truck is......unique. Extra custom.

It has already been done, it is the 2nd post in this thread. Also, I would recommend that you do not bob the bed. I think you will come to regret it later, especially if you plan to use the truck as a truck.

    Overland MJs

I am going to revive this thread because I think my MJ is soon to become more of an overland type rig. I plan to run a topper with a roof rack, where I would mount my "water heater" (black PVC as previously mentioned). I think I would also run deep-cycle batteries to run lights on/in the topper, something to have pressurized water, and maybe an outlet or two. I also think I would want to run some sort of U-shaped shower curtain and a shower head off of the black PVC for showing. I probably have a slide out grill/cooking area that would come out from under the bed platform. I would also have black curtains that go over the topper windows with Velcro. @Pete M, you could make another MJ trailer that is just for camping with one of your many beds and then use your current trailer as a, well, trailer.

It should, but being a 33 year old truck, it is entirely possible that it has been swapped for a D35 or something.

It means that your truck is an 87, but it has an 86 only (or thought to be an 86 only) trim level. It might be the only one like it.
  16. Added, Thanks guys!
  17. It lives! Now I just need to install my seat pan, seat, and wire my lights.
  18. I just read through this truck's build thread. The evolution has been cool to follow. I may need to do what you have done with the stock front bumper, it looks great. I also think its about time that that truck saw the new shop, wouldn't you?
  19. Welp. It looks like the original motor has all but given up. I’ve kept oils in it, it got new rod bearings (it was a temp fix), and a new oil pump last year. Today I start it and the oil light it on. I think the rod bearings finally let go. Oh well, I’m going to keep driving it until she dies or they salt the roads. Then it’s time for upgrades.

Those concerns do make sense. I suppose we will see higher numbers this week.

I don’t doubt it either. Last spring, our school year was shortened by a month because of this.
