  1. Already had you down. I agree with the DIY kits. Yeah, these are some great guys too. The owner used to race in NASCAR in the 60s. That’s around the price point that I am hoping to get them for. Less would be great though. I agree with the shipping aspect, and I’m sure a disassembled bar would be much easier.

Jealous of all of you with Wildernests.
  3. I agree that it would be awesome. With this shop, they also build custom reproduction frames for 35-40 Fords. They will put in a custom in-house fabricated Mustang II front suspension. The complete frame with Mustang II front suspension was somewhere was around $2,000-$3,000 when my dad build a 40 Ford a couple of years ago. We are also friends with the owner, so I hope we could get a good deal on them. Then more people would need brackets too.
  4. Update, I made a feelers for sale post in the Pub. Please note whether or not you are interested over there now (with the exception of those who already commented on this thread)
  5. I have a shop local to me that has told me before that they could bend up a rollbar for my MJ. I have decided that I want a rollbar and will probably make it happen. Mind you, I will likely only be buying one if it is priced close to or less than an OEM one. That said, who here would be interested in one (could sell a weld yourself kit where you weld the kickers to the main hoop to save on shipping costs) and at what price point would you be interested in buying one? I would venture to guess that I could probably get some bent up for much less than an OEM rollbar costs. So far, I have potential interest in 6 LWB rollbars and 8 SWB rollbars (including mine) My goal with these is to have them so they are identical to an OEM rollbar, I don't want them to look like an aftermarket one.
  6. Yes it is. My rule with AMC products is: Figure out the logical way to do something, and it was done the opposite way.
  7. The more you know. That seems odd to me. Odd yet unsurprising.
  8. Not trying to seem like a pain here, but where do all of these go? It seems like most people need them.
  9. $350 seems steep to me for an incomplete D30. He probably has more than that in it, but it still seems steep. If you wanted 4.10s, you could use car-part.com to find a 4 cyl MJ or XJ 4x4. Many of those had 4.10 gears and would bolt right in. You could probably get that axle for sub $200 and then but new control arm bushings and ball joints in. All said and done, finding a complete axle would probably be the cheaper option.
  10. 4 LWB and 2 SWB
  11. He's something LOL
  12. Probably
  13. He got some 33s (pretty bald) given to him by a friend. I'll post pictures soon
  14. I am doing some research into trying to make a reproduction roll bar that way I can get one for this thing!
  15. I have vinyl flooring in my truck. I like it, I wouldn't want carpet. Here is another option:
  16. As one can expect. I will probably call up there in a few days and see if I can get a price estimate if I can get the rollbar angles/measurements I need.
  17. Ok. So far it’s looking like I could have no problem selling 3 LWBs (as long as they aren’t too expensive). I will probably monitor this thread for a few days to gauge interest.
  18. Yes it might. Thanks for getting the brain juices flowing. Now I either need to find someone with a rollbar that I could borrow, or I need to find someone who I can get the angles/measurements from.
  19. Sounds good. I’ll need to see what other interest I can get. Just have the bed rig in when you have the tonneau cover on. It could be seasonal. Shipping will likely be a pain. I’ve asked them about making them before, and they said we should start with measurements and could see about going from there. A DIY skit might be possible (just supplying the bent tubing).
  20. I am looking at getting some factory style rollbars reproduced. I would need measurements for: tubing diameter (outside diameter) length of legs length of kickers to wheel wells all angles where the tubing is bent angle of kicker to main hoop Thanks all, I would like to try to make this happen.
  21. I do not. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for ya!
  22. Thank you for building a bada$$ rig!
  23. Sounds good. Where are you located?
  24. Do you want to sell it? I may be interested, depending on price and location.
