I'd do one of these, probably the 2nd, depending on cost. Then you don't need to worry about the pumpkin getting hung up on stuff and I would think that there will be less rolling resistance. I would do an add-a-leaf before I went SOA. It will make it tow slightly worse empty, but it will increase the load capacity without making it much more top heavy. With how soft stock MJ springs are, I would be worry about the trailer tipping if it has a larger load in it, or the load shifting and making one side squat a lot.

Fair enough. It should be scary fast. My dad has a 95 YJ on 35s with 4.10s and that thing is scary fast. I'll be your MJ will be crazier.

That's pretty good. Let me run it past my dad and see what he says.

That's why I need 2 (or more).

Here is the route we might be taking. What does everyone else's route look like? It would be nice to have a convoy going.

My next one will be able to be used year round and it will get washed a lot. I just can't risk getting my blue truck rusty.

I know you initially bought this truck to haul stuff, but what purpose is this truck going to serve when it is done? I could see it being both a track truck and a show truck.

What do one of those go for? I see the "good" aftermarket ones a $50 and would love a MOPAR one if the prices are semi-close.

Thank you! My dad has a lot of experience with wiring, so I don't think building a harness will be an issue.

We really should try to put something together, at least for us here in the midwest to celebrate getting our trucks out of winter storage.

Right! Why does a brand new Jeep have the same tow rating (and fuel mileage ratings, when comparing a JK and an MJ/XJ)?
-
Thank you, these have been added.

Thank you.

The interior looks dirty, but nice. Good looking truck overall. It looks like it would be a great driver for someone. -
I think I’ll probably do it. Thanks!

I do have plans for the holiday dinners. Go to the grandma’s houses. They make good food. LOL

This is what we were thinking. So it would be fine disconnected?

Our grandma has some of those sets from when my mom and uncle was little and she gave them to us.

Thank you!

Engine is out, engine bay pressure washed, valve cover and intake have been sandblasted and painted, and some unnecessary vaccine lines have been eliminated (from 4wd system, I installed a posi lock type system). Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to paint the engine bay. It will likely be going black-the body color blue and the AMC blue on the engine would clash. True story, pressure washing in about 38 degrees (in bald eagles) is NOT FUN. It was pretty cold. I was glad I had my coveralls. Its me! Started mounting accessories Blasted intake and valve cover All cleaned! Paint is applied.

Has anyone found a source for replacement heater hoses? I haven’t been able to find some yet. Thanks
